Maybe next month Chun-Li can get her sixteenth costume, while characters like F.A.N.G continue to have only four or even three.
Side note: Speaking of characters with three outfits, why hasn't Capcom jumped on the crossover potential for Abigail... While it wouldn't be worth the licensing trouble for Juggernaut or Hulk, Abigail also has the right build for Victor from Darkstalkers. Capcom could even go the extra mile and throw in a (graphical only) electricity effect on his V-Trigger.
I also agree that some other characters need more alternative costumes, maybe something more appealing for F.A.N.G. , visuals can turn away players from using specific characters.
I guess statistics prove that some female costumes sell better that others...
Yes, there is a pretty wide spread even across the female characters.
Even though Falke is in last place with four outfits, Laura (six outfits) has arguably done worse. Falke is only a few months old (and is about to get a fifth outfit), while Laura has been in the game since the beginning.
Though I guess one could argue R. Mika has seen the worst. Sure, she has seven outfits, but only one (her default) is good.
Ibuki's the only DLC character to get a crossover extra battle...I guess it's kept mostly base roster so that anybody who has the game at all can particpate in the challenges (and use their fight money ;) ).
So who knows if any other DLC characters from any season will get a crossover in extra battle any time soon.
And Abigail, yeah, he sure hasn't gotten costumes and Victor would be a good one for him. I guess watch out for the Halloween costumes for this year, tho those require real money to get. ;)
As for this Fiona costume...I wonder what the costume code does. Maybe put her in the towel costume from early in the game, or a bonus costume from the game? I bet probably just gives her her default Cammy hair instead.
Cammy only 4 costumes behind Chunners now? They ain't given Chun anything after that ridiculous patch that just added 3 costumes for her.
I like this next costume per cammy XD .
Yes, actually only a few costumes look really good, many costumes have either some weirdo "artist on crack" style, or color combination.
It's ok to have predifined color palettes, to prevent players from using distracting/disgusting color combinations online, but it should be at least allowed to swap colors for each piece of cloth and hair color/style.
Also, it's nice to have "cheat codes" to remove specific cloth parts, but it becomes annoying to use that cheat code before every single match, so there should be a permanent option for that.
Overall these are just comfort of life complaints, to make the game better, but at the moment there are higher priority issues, which should be resolved, like implementing IP-based region filters and a mandatory 60 FPS benchmak in multiplayer, not to mention some technical issues which are still present on some software/hardware combinations.
Some characters are luckier than others.
Mika is really unlucky. She doesn't even get a decent swimsuit. Meanwhile, the only costumes I'd label as really bad for Laura or Karin are their Holiday outfits. Karin honestly has a pretty solid wardrobe.
Chun-Li has a lot of garbage. I cannot decide if that is made worse by her having the most costumes in the game. On the one hand, with that many outfits, you should at least be able to find a handful that are okay. On the other hand, the sheer volume only makes it feel even more like Capcom flat out doesn't care, that they are just throwing out whatever garbage someone came up with that month.
Indeed, that is one of those pointless annoyances that have carried over from arcade days.
There is really no decent reason at all for having to enter a "secret" button code just to use an alternate outfit in SF5. SF5 doesn't even tie colors to specific button presses, costumes and colors both are chosen from menus. We even have to lock in our costume choice (along with the character choice) before playing online.
I use it on Karin Swimsuit and for other Char too.
Here's all colors too:

So actually 2 costumes for the 10,000 fm minimum needed to unlock it.
Well yeah spend 2500 4 times...you just can't lose at all. ;)
...noticed that the skirt was clipping through Cammy's leg while she was laying on the ground.
