solderless easy ♥♥♥♥, just buy a wirestripper and you're all set. The latency on this PCB is low, if you use the converter its gonna add more delay than what your hori pcb has already for sure. Get the brook pcb and avoid the issues.
yes you can get it to legacy/ps3 mode but it has issues and I think some events/venues dont allow it. I am assuimg he wants to play on ps4 because of offline, so your best bet for reliablity and functionality is to go with the pcb instead.
I know certain ps3 sticks work on ps4 via legacy mode, but I know the input lag gained is noticeable.
I just dont want a perfectly able stick, like the one I have, to get dust or sell it because its not compatible with the ps4.

In this webpage there are many different test results with various sticks. I take it with a grain of salt. They say the brook adapter adds 2 frames of input lag ... and thats terrible.
No it doesnt. Are you not able to read the very site you linked? That site is outdated and incorrect as well. Lets make this clear 4ms does not equal 2 frames.....!! 16ms=1 frame........ Also, with latest firmware and pcb version of the brook pcb is lower than 4ms, just ask brook on twitter or google it.
Your logic is also flawed and are clearly not serious. So you rather pay an additional 60 rather than 30? Converters are 30 + ship.... You're clearly broke. Save up or get a job dude.
When it comes to upgrades that's the way it works. if you wanna upgrade an old stick to the current gen it has always been 50 or 60. $60 is worth it for an upgrade vs 150 or 200$. Theres another flaw because you're complaining about input delay yet converters adds extra to that your controllers PCB already has. So you think that brook pcb adds 2 frames, then the coverter will add 5 frames. Have fun playing SFV with 12 frames of input delay + the monitor XD
Pad players like DU and smug deal with the extra delay because they have no choice. Stick players do havea choice but they just have to pay $30 more.
THIRTYDOLLARS IS LESS THAN SIXTY!
EDIT AGAIN, MY BAD... CONVERTERS ARE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ $40+ SHIPPING SO ITS ONLY TWENTYDOLLAS MORE......
