I don't condone rage quitting, I think people who do that are weak, but I feel no sympathy for you if you're one who taunted them first.
gitgud
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i thought this forum was dumb but like, this just warrented my first post here.
I don't taunt or teabag my opponent. But I don't mind when people do. Taunts are a part of the game. Urien, Alex and Mika's V-Skills are effectively taunts.
The onus is on you to stay cool. If you rage quit someone who taunted you, the problem isn't with the other person. I would rather someone unplug a match after the first round because it was lagging than someone rage quitting because he can't check his temper.
I was just saying that I don't feel sorry for him if he provokes his opponents to quit by mocking them first.
I still hold my position that rage quitters are weak, but that's unrelated to the fact that the OP is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
same thing to edit your own post.
It’s not that I get flustered, it’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disrespectful. A lot of people believe rematching is courteous because they want to get in as many fights as possible. I can understand that to a degree. But if an opponent taunts and teabags and thinks I’m going to fight them again whether I win or lose against them, they’re wrong.
To specifically let you know, I get flustered when every single strategy I try doesn’t work against someone and I lose. If playing aggressively doesn’t work, I switch to a more cautious and defensive style of play. If that doesn’t work, I try a mix of both. Sometimes I even try doing the same move two time in a row in order to “train” them to think I’m going to do it a third time, only to switch it up at the last second. When I run out of options to inflict damage and win, I get flustered/frustrated/etc.
taunt
tônt
noun
1.
a remark made in order to anger, wound, or provoke someone.
synonyms: jeer, jibe, sneer, insult, barb, catcall
I regularly train with several highly skilled players and even in a friendly match, they’ve never taunted me. Ever. Those who have a high level of LP and taunt (outside of professionals and other semi-legendary players of SF), likely got there by purposely messing with people then going in for the kill like vultures.
The absolute BEST feeling for me is when someone taunts or teabags me right before winning the first round, loses the second and third rounds, expects an instant rematch only for me to make them wait 10 agonizing seconds and move on to other fights.
So yeah, taunting is for people who don’t see any other way to beat someone than to rely on messing with them mentally so that THEY mess up and give you the opportunity to exploit their mistake. Taunters lack skill. Keep on taunting. I won’t be rematching you.
