Abigail infinite
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwpal_tNwzk
I got hit by this the other day, I was in the corner so the guy kept juggling me long after it stopped doing damage. After that I dropped my controller and let him win the last round in disgust. This game keeps finding news ways of disappointing me

Of course the first hit needs to connect but after that he could hit me non-stop. As I said I was in the corner and he hit me airborne over and over, there was nothing I could do. It got to a point where damage scaling negated all additional damage (so it's an actual combo) and he just kept going until he was bored. That's the definition of an infinite combo

When he slams the ground he can pick you up again, and this is where you weren't airborne but more like delaying your wake up without realizing it. You can simply quick/back rise out of it and block, it's -8 and pretty punishable. I can understand the confusion tho, the only other OTG (off/on the ground) move in the game that comes to mind is Kolin's VT1 floor spikes.

Can't quick rise if you never touch the floor ? Or am I missing something

Doesn’t that move have a bit of push-back for Abigail? I can’t exactly remember, but I know that move has a limit before you can’t be juggled anymore, otherwise characters like Balrog would be capable of similar juggles.

No he didn't back up an inch and kept slamming me. I was airborne the whole time, it's an actual infinite. I'll try to retrieve the replay but I played a lot since

Edit : You can see from the video that there's zero push back if you don't block it. What amazes me is that it was in the game in august 2017 already and it never got patched

I think your understanding of an infinite is false.
It's an infinite if you can hit your opponent without him being able to do anything.
You can use block+v-reversal, parry and some ex special moves on wakeup against Abigails ex giant flip, thus abigails ex giant flip is not an infinite and intended to be as it is (being able to endless slam the ground if not interrupted).

It's not an infinite.

It only doesn't push Abigail's opponent out of range if they're being juggled in the corner, you fall out of the juggle after 10-14 hits, it doesn't re-off the ground juggle once you've fallen out of it, and it pushes Abigail back on block if you're in the corner.

You can tack on up to around 150 damage off a combo/off the ground juggle with it, so in the scheme of things in SFV it's not even that powerful. It's just another way of trolling your opponent with Abigail really.

Abigail main here.
It's an OTG, not an infinite. Meaning if you do any kind of recovery as your character seems, you'll be able to escape and block. Even if you don't recover it drops after 18 hits or so. It DOES have pushback and you'll be able to escape if you keep blocking. It doesn't have any armor at that point, so you can interupt it with Ryu's st.lk or st.mk.

i dont believe im seeing this, this character is out for more than 6 months now and people know how to beat it since day 1, you are a moron.

Oh! That will cost Abigail a lot of meter! If a player does that, thats a dumb waste of resources. X.x

*facepalm*
The move is 1 bar like every other ex version of a special move in this game.
Wanda Feb 26, 2018 @ 3:31pm
I KNOW YOU CAN BLOCK IT and I know it pushes Abigail back when blocked, as I stated multiple times. I'm saying if you take the first hit while airborne and in the corner you can't avoid the 17 dentical hits that come next (since you say it stops after that I believe you). Where did I say it was unblockable ? Of course you can block any hit before you're locked in combo, what are you guys even talking about ? Sbt is right, the move only uses 1 bar, as stated in the video. If you think it's ok to have a move that can hit you 18 times in a row, to the point it "breaks" damage scaling then fine it's not an infinite. You know it's broken just by looking at the animation, he keeps flashing yellow like he's chaining more than 3 ex moves together

It hits several times, yes, but it's not a infinite, because once you hit the ground and can do a quick rise, you've broken the infinite.

My brother does this move all the time because it's funny, but it does end as long as you quickrise at the right time.
