Arcade stick not being detected in game.
So I have a Qanba Q2 and I've been using x360 for a long time. Unfortunately with the last game update my stick stopped being picked up in game at all. I've done a fresh install of the game too just in case but no luck. Does anyone know of a solution or maybe there's something I might've missed?

Try to go into Big Picture Mode and then controller settings. there are diff options like 360, ps4, generic then launch first time in big picture mode. Sometimes for me making sure everything is unchecked in big picture mode then allows it to work, but only check one option at a time till you figure it out.

Hope this helps

It's definitely possible that either Steam's controller API or other 3rd-party input wrappers are interfering, because SFV has native D-input + X-input support and doesn't need 3rd-party tools.

Since Steam started to change the own input wrapper API, there are multiple options for Desktop and Big Picture Mode.

Try this general fix:

Unplug all your controllers first and then

Reset your SFV controller options

1. Press Win+R
2. Paste:
%LocalAppData%\StreetFighterV\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
3. Delete the file "input.ini"

Additional steps (not always required):

A) for PS3/PS4/D-input controllers:
Set your controller to PS3 mode (if available) and your switch to D-PAD.
OR use the native XBOX 360 input mode (if available).

B) for any controller type:
Disable all 3rd party D-input wrappers + disable Steam controller API options in "Big Picture Mode",
this usually fixes it in most cases.

to bypass/navigate through the introduction menus use the keyboard buttons
"B" to accept and "N" to decline

If these buttons are not responding click with your mouse buttons anywhere on the SFV screen, even if the cursor is not visible, this will regain focus, now try to press "B" or "N" again

So just an update I tried both solutions and the best I got was being prompted to hit a button to begin mapping the control layout. The problem now is that when I hit any button on the stick it
backs out to the settings menu instead of proceeding to allow me to set the buttons up.

This should not happen, if you have a certified XBOX360 controller, they simply work without any configuration prompts.

Of course you can remap them, or simply use the 3 controller presets in training mode.

But never ever configure a XBOX360 controller as a D-input device, else your controls won't work properly, because it is an X-input device. Delete the input.ini file again if you have done so by mistake/unintentionally.

Are you really sure that there are no other controller input wrappers installed/ running in background? Like x360ce or Joy2Key or Inputmapper etc.? Disable/ remove them.
Alternatively you can also restart Windows in clean boot mode, with all autorun 3rd-party programs and services disabled.
