Toxic smurfs are spoiling the game at bronze and silver ranks
If any of you smurfs reading this, know that you idiots are ruining the game for people who are just starting out and killing an already dying game. I am tired of losing to players who are clearly well above my skill level. These idiots are purposely creating fake accounts to beat lower ranking players.

Yes it happens quite often. don´t worry, in order to beat them, use the same methods they use. CROUCH KICK to DOWN or go back and throw Hadoken spams.....Trolls and losers are always the ones going backwards and waiting for you in a match.....Troll the trolls.

OR! Or, you could practice in battle lounges with people around your rank and genuinely try to get better. Took me a while to learn how to anti-air properly and when I did, I basically shot up to Platinum. That was where my lack of other skills kept me from advancing. So now I’m working on those.

I used to be of your exact mindset and I think I started threads like these to vent and rant and complain. I’ve found that on a general basis, smurfs will utterly dominate and disrespect you even if they are of the same rank as you. So if someone seems like they are playing on a level that seems way to high given the rank they have, check their stats and blacklist them. Periodically clear out your blacklist too.

I’ve seen people in super or ultra gold who have less then 500 TOTAL matches and have a win rate of at least 80%. I think the worst one was over 100 total matches and they were in plat with a 95%+ win rate.

I am well aware of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ smurfs! As I am tired to lose for seemingly Gold skilled level Rookies... I think I'll never leave Super Bronze...

I fought a Sakura this morning, by a player called ConfusedFool. It was my first match of the day and just got me angry to almost rage quiting the match. turns out that by the morning I fought a lot of smurfs, and as I wasn't patient I just let them beat my char standing still to get EXP and low my LP a bit (I'm just Bronze/Super Bronze rank, I don't go better than this, so I don't care. I just want FM). Turns out, this played had lost too and when we were matched again, I had my revenge. Then I closed the game at that time.

You can think that I don't wanna go bigger in the ranks, but of course I want. But the main reason I am playing this game for now is to clear all survival modes (currently in Inferno dificulty), so I need FM to revive characters when I lose too far, or in the miuddle of the couse. Also I spent a lot of FM in Extra Battles and Fighting Chance for the sake of unlocking things. So I have to let to learn how to play like a pro to another day.

I think like this too about learning to play... But, in my case, I just want to farm FM for now, as I said above...

Smurfs rank up eventually. Just don't give them the runback. I came across a low Silver Balrog that had 37 win streak and was very low level (both character and player). Just walk away. It's probably just as boring for them as it is for you.

I understand this completely. But at least you have a specific goal in mind and aren’t trying to go for something currently unobtainable.
At the end of the day, Capcom is to blame.

Players being jerks is nothing new and expected in any competitive game.

I read that this game didn't even launch with a blacklist feature? Which is just straight up ridiculous if true.

Just play one match and blacklist them. Idle during it.

Nah, they either stick to casuals or they make new accounts (or in some cases take RQ penalties to lower their LP again).

Either take it as an opportunity to learn, or blacklist them. Every game with multiplayer has people doing this in some way, the developer can't stop players from being scumbags.

I think you should not be irritated with smurfs. In the end, if you want rising up your class, you will have to play against better players than bronze or silver players. So it's a preview that will wait for you when you rise up to upper classes. You can see the strategy and techniques that better players use frequently and you can study your strategies against these standardizations. In the fight games you can't be previsible. However, if you continue to play against better players, they naturally become more previsible and you will able take predictable counter actions. So you will become a diffilcult player to deal for better players (and smurfs too).

The problem is these smurf players know a few long combo strings and can execute them perfectly, which means my play style should be impeccable without any gaps. Even if I make a single mistake they capitalize on it. Add the beautiful netcode of this game into the mix it becomes demoralizing to play online matches.

Yes. Capcom can do very little when players abuse the game. I do not see this as an opportunity to learn since I get bodied as soon as the match starts. You learn incrementally playing against opponents at your level who make mistakes. Just now lost to a Balrog who has a 93% win rate. It is irritating and infuriating to say the least.

1. You don’t need to be good at combos to be good at Street Fighter. As long as you can grasp the neutral, you’re practically unbeatable.

2. Play on LAN.

In SFV, it isn't necessary to be a good player to execute long combos. The characters have a high tolerance to accept commands to perform combos. So you have to practice to perform long combos too.

But you know some good combos it isn't signal of victories . You have to learn how to iniciate them. During the match, it's difficult to perform the combos, because the oponent is not going to let you execute it easily. After some matches, you learn the oportunity when you can execute the combos that you practice. It's different to perform combos against real players than practice mode or against CPU.

If you want to play higher level players, just go over to to the battle lounges and use a tag "I want to play someone stronger".

The game automatically puts you with people 1 class above your current class in an atempt to make the player incirmentally better. *sp. When a player hits ultra bronze they will be playing silver, and when they hit silver they will fight super-silver etc...

This is a very poor argument.
