what is wrong with people hating on Ken?

ok, so any stream or posts i got to i always happen to see bad comment about Ken or ken players...
just like you love your character, other people love ken to.. i main ken because he is so fun to play and fits my style, but that doesnt mean 100% wake and randoms dps.. there are some Kens that are insanetly taleneted (chris tatarian or momochi)..
i do understand that tis annoying to play against kens that just mash dps.. but there are other people who the the exact same ♥♥♥♥ with other characters.. its no ken to hate.. its those players that play that bad playstyle..

I personally don’t mind encountering Kens as an Ed main. But I think the hate mostly comes from the fact that some people, namely the ones complaining, encounter Kens online way more than usual and would rather fight other characters.

A good example for me is when I develop a sudden hate for Ryu after encountering him like 11 times in a row with maybe a urien or an Abigail mixed in. Certain ranks have become oversaturated with Kens.

Many players hate Ken and Ken players because of the lag. Here in Brazil there is even a saying among players that "The good Ken is Ken with lag and 'farofeiro'" ... "Farofeiro" means the player who mashes DP all the time regardless of the consequences of mistake or a defense of DP (can be EX DP, EX Flash Kick, EX Tiger uppercut, Critical Art or similar special moves).

Some Ken players use lag to their advantage to perform surprise DP EX attacks and light strikes. In the case of DP EX, even though it's a great special move, there are several times that a Ken player uses a wrong blow (either with a whiff or a negative-framed blow), and ends up benefiting from lost lag frames, because the opposing player cannot react to the rapid startup of the DP, even with the error. There are times when the opponent can't even see the blow before DP ...

Not all Ken players are cheating or intentionally using this "trick". Unfortunately, the network code is still bad and many players use wifi.

HADOUKEN! HADOUKEN! HADOUKEN! HADOUKEN! HADOUKEN! HADOUKEN!

*the other player jumps some Hadouken*

*And, when the other player is on the ground and his char starts to go up, a Ken runs close and do a stand jump with HK, or HP*

And yeah, there are so many Ken online, Ryu also. And that's really annoying.
I like watching videos of Kenpi playing. He really know how to play Ken. Not those all time zoner Hadouken spammer noobs!
But you know wich character is the worst of the worst to play against? GUILE!

People talk trash about every single character. Ken gets a bad rep because he sucks to fight against when there is lag.

Ken is actually a pretty weak character to a lot of the cast, it's just in an online environment he has some BS that feels bad sometimes.

I'm a lifetime bronze player so I see Kens like every 3rd match. It just gets boring to encounter them so often. And add to that the roughly 20% of fights with bad connections, I end up fighting a lot of bad matches with Ken. I lose to just about every single Ken because I never know exactly what approach they're gonna do. Some spam hadoukens, some do wake-up DPs EVERY. TIME. (and I still somehow fall for it), and some on rare occasion play really conservatively. It takes the full first match just to see which type I'm dealing with. I like Ken as a character but it's the sheer amount of them online is really exhausting.

Ken can easily spam moves and not be punished for them. He's not the only one, but he is definitely annoying and easily a 'go to' character for easy, cheesy wins. Also, just like everyone else said, once you put some lag in the mix, the fun really starts. Funny enough, whenever I use F.A.N.G., I don't come across much Kens. Once I change up characters, regardless of who, all of a sudden, Kens come out the woodwork.

It has been like this since sf4 already. Bad players lose to random spamming (bad) ken players and blame the ken players instead of themselves

His voice lines are pretty obnoxious "URGH, ONE MORE!" I don't see why they have to make blanka and ken just shout their lines. That, and his character is linear as hell. If you've fought one ken, you've fought literally every other ken on the face of planet earth.
