Any source ? Every japanese pro player seems happy about the patch.
Don't tell me you only listened to usual "I'll quit SFV !" US crybabies ?
Yeah right, this comes from the same guy who says SFIV with Wifi is an awesome experience.
But since you think people on Eventhubs are incredible smart and know what they're talking about here is a list of characters Cammy loses to 6-4 according to Eventhubs users:
Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Chun-Li, Cammy, Dhalsim, Zangief, Birdie, Laura, FANG, Rashid, Juri, R.Mika, Guile, Alex, Balrog, Bison, Vega, Ibuki, Urien, Karin, Necalli, Nash
No CPT tourney until March. Wait and see.
The definition of 'properly fleshed out' is a tier list where each character specialist comes together and sits down with every other character specialist and fights it out in a first to 10.
Nowadays they use a 'Fisher Price' tier list.
That's where you grab a fridge magnet depicting your favourite character and stick it in an area where you feel like it should belong.
(Personally I think Boxer is flying under the radar. Big time.)
Cammy and Guile are indeed potentially top tiers this season. They were already very good before and they have been strengthened where they were already good at. Rog is another character that is probably gonna be used much more since his buffs were very valuable too.
Akuma will be pretty good as soon as some good players will have figured him out. Not broken, but definitely good.
Overall I believe the only characters that will drop down in usage are Ryu (due to his nerfs + Akuma being basically a better version of him) and Karin (Mago is dropping her for Rog and JWong has been thinking of dropping her for a while).
A funny thing is that a lot of Japanese pro players including Nemo and Daigo are saying that this will be the year of Gief. I'd really like to know what is this all about.
Alioune ragequitted SFV after losing hard in a few tourneys, as usual with Alioune anyway lol
If you aren't used to pro players downplaying, now is a good time :)
Also, switching to a top tier, is their way to boost their chance into getting money this year.
Tier lists for these guys, aren't really "tier list material" for casuals playing SFV, as you can see on E.Hubs (your source of info it seems), with people's tier list ranking Guile as bottom tier.
I'll stick to what I believe to be true : week 1, no use to ask for nerfs or build up tier lists. Week 1 ? you lab all day and you learn new matchups.
Birdie and Dictator were everyone's favourites during early SFV, we all know how it ended up ...
I just read Ehubs for the entertainment factor, but the tweeting storms i've seen are kinda epic. I follow JDCR and GreenTekken for my serious info on T7 and typically follow certain specific players for all 3D games that i'm into. With 2D I do visit SRK and EH to see what the latest complaints and things are, because they are largely 2D based sites, with varying levels of content.
