Combo issues - Juri
Playing the trials/combo stuff, the input in her J-LK > SP>SK > then her special is almost impossible to do.

And it's not the inputs either. I input everything correctly as the screen shows, it's as if the game just doesn't recognize the combo.

There is a "view challenge demonstration" option when doing the trials. By watching it you can get clues

I assume you mean trial 2 "j.lk, s.lp, s.lk xx light tensenrin".

I have to make another assumption here, if you are unable to perform this combo it means you do not understand the way of how combos are done in Street Fighter. In Street Fighter you cannot simply drum all the required buttons one after another, most of them require a specific timing. In SF you have Links, Chains, Special Cancels and Target Combos. A link is different from the other 3.

A "link" is when you perform a normal attack and have to wait until it completes its animation before the 2nd move can beinputted. Light attacks have low blockstun so you don't visually wait to press the 2nd button however there is a specific timing.

Juri her st.lp, st.lk is a link, you have to wait a bit before pressing the st.lk. In SFV unlike USFIV there is a 3f input leniency, so this means it's better to press a button early than late. Although if nothing is coming out it means you did it too early.

Try to get the timing of st.lp, st.lk and practice it until you hve it down, it shouldn't cost you more than 5 min.

Yeah I know how to wait for the moment and whatnot, but the thing is that I'm hitting the combo at the right time and it's just not linking.

Been working on this since last night, combo is just jacked.

It is an extremely easy combo. Where exactly is the combo falling apart?
if the next attack is blocked you are too slow, if the button doesn't come out, you are too fast.

when you do st.lk xx light tensenrin, this is a cancel, you are cancelling part of the st.lk animation into a special attack. special cancels have to be done very fast, 1 fluid motion fast.

I'm shooting in the dark here, a bit more information would allow me(and anyone else) to help better.

Best way is to make a quick video recording with inputs on and show it.

The issue I have is the second kick after standing punch.

I can do the whole combo with inputs and timing, but i'm hitting the punch + kick and it's not coming out.

Like is there some sort of weird delay or window i have to hit?

I can input the entire combo in like .5 seconds, so when it hits the punch it's just not entering the kick for some reason.

If you are inputting the kick that comes after the punch, and it isn't coming out it means, like i said before, you are doing it it too fast.

In SFV you basically get 1 chance to input a button, so no mashing.

- Too fast(button doesn't come out)
- Too slow(button is blocked)
Adjust your timing to this.

As you see in the video above the j.lk, st.lp, st.lk are all done relatively slowly, it's only the st.lk xx light tensenrin that is done fast. Listen to the sound of the buttons in the video to understand the timing.

This game requires timing.

:/ Sadly i'm not new to fighting games. Inputs just don't work, not gonna bother with a game that has input issues this big and making the actual gameplay super inconsistent.

Wellp, guess gonna treat SFV like the casual game it is now.
