Ryu VS Chun Li, what makes Chun-Li better than Ryu judging by latest tier lists?

So far every pro player considers her the "god" tier, and most people pretty much agree with that, but what about Ryu? He's better than Chun in nearly everything (except footsies and comboability), but yet most of pros put her above him, i can't see really why.
I want to hear your opinions on how these characters compare and who should be the best of the best.

Chun is better than everybody else, but that doesn't make her as "EZ" to use as Ryu...

But I see people beat Chun Li with Ryu, all the time. Doesn't that also factor in?

It's like when people argue what the best weapon is in Dark Souls for PvP...there is no best weapon. You need skill, even with the best weapon. You need good tactic, even with the best weapon.

A "god" tier character can only take you so far. Until your skill and timing catch up, "god" tier won't mean anything.

She is better at mid distance, can maintain the preasure better, her v-trigger is amazing and her crouch hitbox is too small.

Yet, she is not invincible at all. She is not god tier or broken like she was in SFIII.

if this game has one thing better than every other SF game to date, is balancing, this game has no Vanilla Sagat, no Vanilla Super Yun, and no SF3rd Chunner, this game is about momentum, and pressure, if you play too passive, you're gonna get run over by pretty much everyone !!!

tbh. Vanilla Sagat wasn't as bad as Vanilla Akuma,Seth,Gen,Cammy or even Sakura-

And you know why Chun is considerd better than Ryu, because Boobs.

the thing with Vanilla sagat was bc of the frustating lame game, he had charge fireball recovery (on both of his fireballs) he had great neutral, and had 1000 health, + just absorb a few fireballs with focus, and if you jump on him, you'd lose half of your health with the juggle ultra

Ryu is realy good at the moment and is also realy easy to play.
Chun is slitly better but hard as nails to play.

Theoreticly a chun lee plyer who makes no mistakes would ♥♥♥♥ on ryu.
But he best combos have realy strict timing.
But Ryu in general has such easy combos that give so much reaction time its realy hard to acualy make mistakes.

plus he can mash lp to get out of most situations. once a ryu completely wiffed a sweep while i was in the air, and still had time to finish the animation, stand and hit lp and beat my cross up while facing the wrong way.
