Thoughest?
Who told you that joke?
Thoughest of the Shotos maybe, Thoughest character? Thats something he can dream of.
Easiest is probably Guile or Boxer (Balrog), though.
Tiers dont matter in bronze. Get better with antiairs and doing full punish combos and youll be out of bronze easily.
And NEVER GO FULL YOLO KEN!!!
as some has suggested Akuma, Guile, Balrog which are top tier with Guile being easier to learn and use out of the three in my view.
I don't know how long you been playing but if you're in around 30 hours in the game i suggest sticking with Ken and Ryu even though Ryu is low in terms of tier and Ken is about mid tier. Just take a look at aspect of your game.
I'm stuck at bronze, so lets look at the matches i lost and see what i done. reaching Ultra Bronze means you probably have some gimmicks and some knowledge of the character. I suggest building onto it. Should you anti-air more? Are you jumping too much? Are you throwing too much? etc. I'm happy to play you a quick set and might see somethings to help you improve I'm sure other's around are willing too.
I'm by no means good, I think I'm okish, ranked and floating between silver and normal silver with my Kolin which is a character considered to be a low tier and yet this was the character that clicked and allowed me to get to super silver.
My Ken is terrible but my Ryu is around ultra bronze - low silverish level and I still main a Ryu outside of rank for fun and it gives me a better understanding of the fundamentals when I use him as I say he has less options than my Kolin.
It's only my guess but do you get CC by the opponent a lot and get thrown? If this is the case you might be using DP a bit too much. Whenever I play against a Ken and win against them they are usually Ken's who do too much tatsu to get in the distance and too much DP which i end up blocking for a CC.
I suggest sticking with the character a bit longer to see. If you want an easy root to silver and float between silver and Bronze then it would be Abigail. He has cheap gimmicks but the longer you sue them and not see the core game the longer you be stuck in the same rank. Don't get me wrong I think it;s difficult to be good at Abigail but for new users at bronze league it's easy to spam his charge to either a throw or flipkick and in Bronze League most don't know what to do to counter but once in silver you find these gimmicks won't work against these more experienced players.
Good charge characters to start with? Balrog and M.Bison
Good qc characters to start with (aside from ken/ryu)? Nash, cammy
Also, Ed...
I honestly don't see any other character being in the same universe with her regarding how easy and comfortable she is to control and use.
But she has no projectile and her bread and butter cross-up is a light kick, which requires stricter timing (later) than ruy's medium kick cross-up to combo. She has a lot of other good moves to start a combo with though, but they ofter require the correct distance to be useful (divekick, V-skill).
Ryu is pretty solid (but more predictable).
You might like Necalli, pretty straightforward character, but no projectiles either.
Maybe Nash, he does have projectiles, but is a slow mover and doesn't have a good partially invincible ex-move that you can spam during wake up.
Ah what the heck, just go with Guile! Can't go wrong there ;D
Just play Ryu and learn to play solid.
I think Cammy is perfect for getting solid at fundamentals of sfv - or a fighting game in general.
You guys made some good recommendations totally forgot that Cammy is actually one of the best to learn the basics and whiles he doesn't have projectiles she does have coutners and ways to avoid it (that spinning technique that she does which is a good tool to get close and coutner fireballs). With her being faster also gives them a little insight to learn to bait opponents to use throws, specials to get countered.
For a newer player, I think a character with a larger life bar is ideal.
