Let me guess, this is your first SF game.
They've been part of the series since the introduction of EX Moves.
Be happy that the amount of yolo specials that are safe on block is low in this game compared to most others.

I'm not sure I agree. It could be because of netplay, but as an example I have a much harder time punishing Chun Li's ex legs on block in SFV than I did in USFIV. I checked the frame data, it doesn't seem to be a reality, but it definitely seems like it's harder to punish ex moves on block.

If your EX move doesn't send you flying into the air, it's probably safe on block in SF5. All you can do is block it and wait for the attack afterwards.

I don't know what the frame data is on Chun Li's EX legs because I don't look that stuff up but it's def save on block. Trying to punish it after she attacks is asking to get hit.

On the plus side, if you see an ex move, it's most likely safe on block.

Welcome to the game and yes like someone previously explained its a trrade off. I use EX Legs with Chun Li to get out of the corner sometimes

chun lis ex legs are -2 so its your turn after you blocked it but do a fast move 3-4 maybe a 5 framer

Your comment is straight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
First you couldn't punish EX legs in SFIV at all, they were +1 on block, what means Chun-Li had advantage and there was nothing you could do about it.
In SFV the move is -2 and it puts her right into your face. You can't punish it either, but Chun-Li is at a disadvantage.

I already said I looked at the frames in both games, calm down.

You can't even read them if you think it was possible to punish an unpunishabel move in the previous game.
