V-Trigger to get out of the corner doesn't send you far enough so if you haven't already died to the chip damage, input reading will have him immediately snap around and start his combo in the other direction. It might be possible to slip in the occasional grab or Tragedy Assault but he just does too much damage.

I also remember Nash's tragedy assault being effective at mid range. the AI has trouble with it
