MKX for me, SFV is not even close when it comes to content, and SFV art style is really mixed bag for me. Though SFV is a good fighting game, it lacks content.

If you're a casual player and want a full game, go for MKX.

If you want half a game and want to discover how awful the human nature can be, go for SFV.

I went for SFV because I'm not into NRS games.

Just be aware SFV is online-oriented and the online modes are full of ♥♥♥♥ and cannot be trusted.

There are players who ruin the gameplay with potato rigs, other with wi-fi.

There's a lot of people who have faulty internet too like this one[imgur.com] and are plain unplayable. You'll try some moves against those players and they just won't come. You can practice all the way you want and in the end, you get screwed because of bad conditions.

And then, on top of that, there are some players that just want you to throw your controller out the window.

It can be really frustrating, rage-inducing at times but can be fun with the right players.

Don't forget there are other options that are amazing as well, like KOF XIV or GGXRD Rev. 2.

Who would be so stupid to torment himself with NRS games?

It depends on what you want.

MKX:
Lots of single player content
realistic graphics
amazing stages
challanging AI

SFV:
Well designed battle system (fighting mechanics)
cartoony graphics
unlock DLC characters for free, some free stages too
large player pool
crossplay with PS4
really, really stupid AI (that sometimes goes all "KILLBOT" all the sudden)

I'd go with SFV, but more out of hate for NRS games than out of love for Street Fighter. MKX did had an abandonware phase so... I'd be careful too.

Depends, MK was never a standard fighting game, it's like a subgenre of sorts. I wouldn't compare sfv, gg and the like with mk, personally. In other words, it's about what games you like to play, way more than which game is better.

Use the Steam refund option within 2 hours of play time, to find out which one you like more.

Just make sure that you meet preferably the recommended system requirements and don't play on WiFi online.

Mortal Kombat feels less like an actual fighting game and more like a casual "Party" game in a very loose sense. I would never compare it to fighters like SFV or KoF.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. XD

It feels like a game you play with your buddies to see all the cool fatalities and that's it. I'm sure there's a ton of depth and stuff, but it just feels like something to look at rather than play.

MKX for single player and SFV for multiplayer.

mkxl, overall better package for a cheaper price with a actually very good netcode to play online against people.
