Ryu/Ken = button spam characters?
Some characters should be nerf i mean Ryu and ken, just got beaten by a 100 lp rookie who were just spam over and over fire ball and horiuken spam spam spam = win. Are you serious? Learning combos and skills for what? U get a beginner guy who spams buttons and got defeated XD
Ill just going to spam buttons, if the game is based on that. gg :steamhappy:

Someone who is serious wouldn't care or mention the rank of a person because rank don't matter. A loss is a loss no matter the point total.

Plus, if he wants to spam to win, he'll see how fast that doesn't work.

"rank don't matter."

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL plzz, someone tell me that he is joking XD
man you made my day thxx, its the most funny word i heard in my gaming history :steamhappy:

what rank are you? if you are gold, go and try to beat a platinum and tell me how u be :D
With your mentality, you'll never get good at anything.

Perhaps I'm missing the point, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to reach master rank no matter what and how much I tried with my current skill set and I am also pretty sure those guys up there are up there because they know how to play a thousand times better than me.
Again, perhaps I'm missing the point but I don't see it.

Well in fairness some characters are built around hitting buttons a lot with not a lot of fear, and a central gameplay facet is hitting a combo thru unless the other character can interrupt it...if they cannot, the hits go thru.

So it's not based on like...you block a heavy and hit you back. Necessarily. A big mistake in this is simply blocking something and thinking you can do something. You might be able to...and if you are, you might still not be able to.

But sometimes being random is something that can get someone.

And the online is poor, so that's another angle to the gameplay as a whole.

But a hadoken and shoryuken thing...that's not really an example of just hitting buttons. That's just someone repeating a pattern and not changing.

You can check my profile, I'm gold and have beaten Platinums before.

If you play offline, you don't know anyone's rank so why would it matter at the end of the day? If you play better than the other person, you'll win, simple as that.

I go by this mindset: if I think I suck, then I'll suck. If I think I'm better than everyone, then I'll be better than everyone.

TL;DR - don't ever think you'll lose the match before you even start it.

Ryu and Ken aren't an issue. Akuma is scrubby as ♥♥♥♥ though :^)

Your problem is you're more interested in winning than learning. That's the wrong mindset for someone who is so new. It's unrealistic.

i had my time learning, how more time you want me to learn?? im mastered one character at 80% i learned all moves and combs.
There is way more to it than that if you intend to play real opponents. You have years of learning ahead of you. You're not even close to being done with that part.

If I see a Ryu, Ken, or Akuma at silver or bronze level I can expect 2 strategies from them

1. their only form of offense is jumping constantly, play neutral game, always be mobile this is the #1 prevention to jump-ins, always keep moving forward or back from them if you are not in striking range.

2. They do nothing but specials and heavies, it's extremely easy to meaty with either hp/hk on all shotos. This paired with their love for dping and grabbing on wakeup means they seem like they are button mashing. Learn how to truly meaty their grabs, jabs, and even dps, and stop pressing buttons on wakeup, paying attention to their jab into grab to tech it.

They sometimes turtle to but as Juri that shouldn't be an issue

Srsly though, I play 99% casual, it's more fun, and you learn more, and then when you are well beyond your current skill level you can climb easily

I'm super gold and fight ultra golds and plats in ranked. I fight higher than that in battle lounges and tournaments. Works out alright. Super Gold - Super Plat is mostly an even fight for me give or take. Ultra Plat - Super Diamond is a bit of an uphill battle but not insurmountable.

I mean, in the game's defense you are supposed to be higher than your current rank to climb

I'm facing people 1k higher than me currently at 1900 and I actually won 4 out of 6 lol, but if you lose oh well...I waited long enough training and doing casuals that I'm handily beating my ranks. Beat a Chun and Ibuki 1k higher than me and then lost to a low silver Nash and Gief just barely...I hate Gief's damage so much, get hit like 4 times and you lose when you hit him like 10 times

If you lose against fireball spamer you are realy bad .... you just have to jump 1 time to close the range and then jump on them to do 350+ free damage. It's a free win to you .... in fact.

Except that still can DP you afterwards. Jumping isn't always the best options unless you're really close and it's not Guile

Juri's v skill is a better answer or her kick that stops projectiles
