It's probably Avast / your security software.

If nothing happens when you try to run SFV:

whitelist / exclude both StreetFighterV.exe files + SFV installation folder in your antivirus/firewall.
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV
This may also improve performance, because your antivirus/firewall will no longer be busy scanning SFV in background while playing.

Windows Defender and AVG / Avast antivirus for example are known for having false detection signatures on SFV / blocking SFV launcher, more details here:

The game won't launch for me either. I gave permissions in my antivirus settings and everything. Still nothing. I wanted a refund but i haven't made time to play the game til now, which is too late. My guess is that my system has too many cores and it wont launch because the 32 cores are tripping it up.

I tried every step to try and get this to work on my PC but still nothing. I don't use Avast and the Intel processes they say to stop aren't listed in the taskmanager. I whitelisted everything I can think of and still nothing. It USED to run before my PC died and I had to reformat. Now when you hit play nothing happens. Other Steam games work however. Are there ANY fixes?

Did you manage to find a fix? I installed the game after a few years thinking I'll give it another spin and it simply does not launch. I googled it for literal hours, did everything, firewall expeptions, reinstalling, updating drivers, clearing cache, disabling IPv6, turning off BitDefender completely. It just refuses to launch no mater what I do.

Ok, I got it to work. First I disabled my VPN. Then I added exceptions to windows firewall. Finally I added exceptions to bitdefender as that seems to be the main culprit. It has two separate black lists, one for antivirus and one for incoming online connections, I had to exempt sf5 from both to get it to work. I rebooted and it worked!
