Great news! The editor needs the rmg, not all have the patience to create a map from zero (especially large ones)!

Have you considered implementing the ability to convert conquered cities, as was done in Heroes 6? :praisesun:

Is the 256 x 256 shown in that screenshot the largest map size?

Balanced maps are for PvP but what about sinleplayer people and people playing against bots?
is there gonna be full random template options like having a template within a template mix more templates into one like total chaos?

One thing that I miss in HoMM3 is a truly "random" random map template. The trouble with templates like Jebus Cross is that the terrain and zoning is very predictable. This takes away from the excitement of uncovering the fog of war and clearing the map. I wish the RMG would have a truly random template, where the terrain, biomes, placement of castles, would be truly random and not following a strict predetermined layout.

However, what's important is to still apply basic sanity rules. For example, I hate when I create a new random map, and discover that I can't get out of my starting castle because there is a horde of Minotaurs just 2 tiles from the castle entrance. Or that the sawmill next to my starting castle is inaccessible without dimension door because it's hidden behind a mountain range.

Please consider adding a fully randomized map template, if only with the most important sanity checks.

I really like the direction you are going in with this!

Not sure if you read these, but I also wanted to ask for a fully random map generator (with some sanity applied to every player's starting zone). Knowing the zone layout and/or player starting locations ahead of time takes a lot of the joy of exploring away. I'll echo others in saying that the HoMM3 random map generator is pretty great, even if it's not always fair.

As h3 map creator I have some questions.
Will the Olden Era map editor allow us to add voice lines? For example, to voice the prologue for scenarios or quests? With the rise of AI voice technology and the wider use of audio compared to the times of HoMM3, this would be really helpful. Also, how much editing will the map editor allow? Will it support creating and naming new artifacts, etc.? That would greatly improve the game's longevity—think of it like Bethesda's content creation system. People play with TES even to such ancient games like Morrowind.
