The Triple-I Initiative was a HUGE missed opportunity for them to use that attention to announce release date.
What was the point of announcing it so early? I already went from "hyped" to "cautiously optimistic" to "cautious" now. Was ready to buy the game in a heartbeat, but now I might wanna wait for the first impressions and reviews.
Lots of you are genuinely like that?
Personally, I'm still playing olde games because I like them. They came out sometime in the past, decades in the past. Their release date is insignificant. I'm here, now, enjoying them. If/when this game comes out and it catches my fancy, I'll enjoy this game too. Ten years from now I won't care about the release date of this game, if I find it a great game I'll be enjoying it long after the release date is a forgotten memory.
I'm still waiting on this game, though.
