Hello everyone. I'm happy to see a new Heroes game on the way! I grew up on these games when they were initially developed by The 3DO Company.

I played Heroes of Might & Magic, as well as the Might & Magic RPG series, so naturally I'm very excited to see another game in development.

What I'm not happy about is Ubisoft's failure as a company. They did not do the Might and Magic games any justice. It is my understanding that Ubisoft isn't developing this game, but just the fact that they're involved in this game in any capacity concerns me greatly.

Can you reassure us that Ubisoft isn't going to ruin this game?

Ubisoft was put on this earth as a plague upon gaming. It will be a glorious day for humankind when Ubisoft is miserably destroyed off the face of the planet and there's just a little less evil in the world. That would be the only reassurance at this point.

I like what I've seen from Unfrozen and that's been my only shred of hope for, what could quite possibly be, the last Heroes game we ever see since Ubisoft has inflicted an irreversible amount of damage to everything its ever been involved with.

I agree with you on everything, and I too grew up in the golden age of 3DO/NWC. And if it wasn't for GoG.com getting Heroes 5, it would've been a complete disaster for all Ubisoft Heroes games. Literally their only saving grace...

I have hope for this game and I appreciate that they're doing an Early Access period to develop the game alongside the community ideally.

no offence to Unfrozen, never heard of them before and they might be great, BUT: why would i go back to Ubisoft after they killed a series i loved ever since HoMM2... 5 was the only good one after they bought the IP... and since then, Lavapotion made Songs of Conquest which is a beautiful, respectful, and innovative successor?

TBF ubi afaik is now going to be only the big IP holders like Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed and Far Cry. The other titles got sent into embracer group iirc?
