The graphic style...
Is based on the Ashan universe created by Ubisoft for their own vision of Might and Magic which is an ultra generic vision. ... Too bad, I don't find the semi-realistic graphic and artistic style of the New World computing universe which is cult and which has nothing to do with that of Ashan. It would have been more respectful and even better to include the graphic style of New World computing in Enroth than that of Ashan which are two completely different universes.

After that it's just my opinion.
Unfortunately, I don't think Ubisoft really cares about the New World computing universe...it's not like they plan to develop the old lore and make us a Remake of World of Xeen (I dream of an Open world in a Planetary Romance / Space Fantasy universe ... that's what the old lore of Might and Magic was originally.).

Which one? Heroes 1, Heroes 2, Heroes 3, Heroes 4, Might and Magic 6-8 or Might and Magic 9? Not to mention that Heroes 5, 6 and 7 do not really look all that similar to one other in terms of design at all and the only thing they have in common is that they are in 3d which is the only thing that this game has in common to them as well.

There is a huge nuance and context to be made, friends.
This is Pixel art due to the technology and economy of the time.
Pixels in addition very well detailed and magnificent. From the moment they applied 3D. From the moment they had the economic means to have better technologies notably via the purchase by 3DO, they started to make 3D.
Pixel art (which has nothing to do with Ashan's design) was a technical and economic constraint but it was magnificent and very well detailed (almost realistic in its context especially for the scenes of the buildings/Inn/trainer ETC...).

I remind you however that I am talking about the graphic style of the universes, and not particularly the games themselves. But once again it is necessary to put it in context and put it into perspective.

The difference in style between all of these games is not just a difference between 2d and 3d - creatures look completely different between those games altogether.

The moment I saw the trailer I thought - Heroes of Might & Magic 2 (not 3). Game is based around Enroth universe. Game devs mentioned Heroes of Might & Magic 2 (not 3) as their inspiration. Ubisoft have nothing to do with the game, it was pitched to them by devs themselves, and it's in development since around 2022. Ubisoft potentially might ask for the inclusion of more rainbows and unicorns into the game but I doubt that would do that.

The only thing I can't stand is the cities art, it's looks like Might & Magic Heroes VII or something. And the battle map looks like Songs of Conquest, but I can't say I don't like it.

Я бы хотел что бы графика была как в героях 3 более реалистичная

The overworld looks awesome but the units and towns look like a cheap mobile game or like WoW, devs you chould definitely consider changing the artstyle cause it looks too cartoonish

I dont think people enjoy HOMM3 for the story but the gameplay
I am a die hard fan though of the world of Ashan and given a custom campaign editor am making Ashan based stories in this game

Have you seen the Dungeon reveal or the end-of-year recap? The town screens are fully 3D and explorable like Heroes V.

op the art may not be to your liking but don't spread false info. This game is not in the ashan universe, it's back in the ancient universe on the planet of enroth

This isn't at all correct, HoMM3 units were made by extracting pixel / sprites from the 3D models. Meaning extra effort was put in to get that drawn/pixelated design.

Its a bit of both id say. A pure olden style wouldve been this:

https://media.sketchfab.com/models/975bf8958dc54b5098d2e2928f3a25d5/thumbnails/8779070d74f9423095b3422af91a9268/8c72cddd56b04856b5653d62672573d3.jpeg

https://www.reddit.com/r/heroes3/comments/1642uep/troglodyte_3d_model_by_lukas_paulauskas/?tl=fr

Instead the troglodytes are like this:
https://heroes3wog.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/troglodyte_title.jpg

Its not really the same creature.

All creatures from 1-3 had continuity between them. Just that the graphics improved.

Why did we get a Black Dragon that is purple and walks on all 4's here in this game?
Its even more realistic but its not the majestic BLACK dragon that existed in the world before.

So I feel they are not being consistent with the world that was built in Erathia/Axeoth .
