This mod combines TheGuraGuraMan's ps3 sprite/background mod (or just backgrounds, depending on your pack of choice) and a ps3 voice patch made by an anonymous user.

Many edits were made to ensure each line has a proper voice (though there are a few rare exceptions).

You'll need to read the readme to get all of the proper packs downloaded and in place.

Is there some video which shows how to install the voice patch? I've done everything the README said, and it doesn't work for some reason. CGs work just fine though.

You probably didn't download the voices files/put them correctly.

never played this WITH the japanese VA, i'm enjoying this. Hope the dev can patch them into an update and make it standard for future releases on steam. Felt this way when i played danganronpa & neptunia games.

07th Expansion doesn't own the full rights to the voices. The PS2 and PS3 ports were made in cooperation with a company called Alchemist. Officially adding them to this version would require Alchemist's permission and is unlikely to happen anytime soon. Any voice patches made for PC versions of Higurashi are technically copyright infringement and therefore illegal, though since MG has nothing to do with them directly, they probably aren't breaking the law themselves as long as they don't officially support them.

No.

I did call the mod PS3 Voice and BGM patch by accident in early versions, though.
If that's what you're referring to, then no.

We do have the PS3 BGM available, however someone would need to go through them to see what is used in Chapter 1.
Same goes for the sound effects.

im not getting the voices when mion and rena scort keichi around hinamizawa (beginning chapter 2). didnt saw any mention about it on the "readme".

Is anyone else having a problem with chapter/day 3 just before they corner Rena when they're playing zombie tag it just black screens and nothing happens.

I've tried re installing the game and you can get past it without the voice patch installed but when i try with the voices it black screens again at the same point.

Thanks that seems to have done the trick i guess it needed both voices and sprites or it'll just get stuck at that point

Correction, you have to download the voices files and the ps3 graphics for everything to play along nicely.
