so i wonder; are these Higurashi-games released on steam uncensored? so it got all of the gushy stuff and whatnots .w. ?

That is to say, there was nothing to censor to begin with.

one thing this game is great it is making descriptions of scenes really creepy and sometimes gruesome but they did an amazing job with that, and shows you don't need visuals to get creeped out by something, just well detailed descriptions of an event combined with your imagination, with the latter making it seem worse than depicted.

There is nothing to really censor in the first place. The game has absolutely no graphic violence apart from a picture showing a spurt of blood.

Should correct this part. Chapter 3 MIGHT have a censored sprite. However its just one sprite. Would be a spoiler to say what it is. Its very,very minor. Replacement will exist for the old sprite since that already exists for the older versions of the game. Not sure about the newer sprites though.

Chapter 3 is almost certainly going to be censored. The new artist didn't even draw a new version of the sprite since it could qualify as child pornography in some countries. That said, the censorship is going to be extremely minor.

I think you misunderstand. The artist didn't skip that sprite for personal reasons. He did it because MG told him to since they plan not to use it.

A free game called Written in the Sky. Pretty badly written, really short and the CGs aren't nukige quality, but there'es no mistaking that it features naked charaacters in a sex scene. As far as I know it's the first VN like that on Steam.

Far as I am aware of, first one to not censor itself yes. I can not currently think of any vns that have everything uncensored on steam besides that one. ( Without downloading official or unofficial patches, ect. )

However there IS a game that sells DLC for uncensored content. ( Though that one is a fighting game and not a vn. However the characters are made in an anime style. )

Of course there are VNs that have official patches linked on the forums and/or the main sites for the steam versions of them. ( Of course, other games that are not VNs exist with nudity on steam that are not censored and do not require buying of dlc,ect. However those are not done with anime graphix.)

So this could pave the way for more uncensored vns to hit steam. Honestly considering what is allowed in non VN games already they might as well.

The stuff that happened in the anime also happens in the visual novel, but they are conveyed through words rather than visuals.

So, basically, there isn't actually any graphic stuff on screen, but it is described without holding back.
