The unlock then remove mechanic
I must say, the whole mechanic around the Confessional to prevent unlocks from showing up, is a good idea.
But the way it interacts with the Forge and the Shrine, is truly confusing.

If everything showed up in the Confessional, that would be one thing. But it doesn't?
So, naturally, you're supposed to unlock things in games. But, you're not supposed to?

It feels clunky and nonsensical.

There is a very simple explanation. Treat the meta buildings, except for the Statue, as a way to build your deck.

The Confessional contains all the base Prayers you start the game with, which you can banish. The other buildings contain separate, more powerful Prayers that you can unlock.

In the endgame, it is true that you should limit the number of Prayers in your pool rather than unlock everything. The upcoming update will introduce a Loadout system, allowing you to switch between different sets.

A loadout system sounds wonderful.

By the way, congratulations on making such a wonderful game!
Thank you!

If i "Ban" the lower level Prayers will that also prevent its Higher level variants of the same prayer that i unlocked to show up ? or they are two fully seperate thing ?
Upgraded version is a seperate Prayer. You can have both. I just wanted to keep full freedom in building your "deck"
