Cant build anything, don't really understand the UI or anything else. I figured out how to hire a scientist, how to research and send a probe, and thats about it. Is there a guide I am missing somewhere?

I played a while, got mines, colonies, tried exploring jade, spent probes, and even landed... Then some time later i get a notification of combat, im guessing it was round jade? Was wierd, it then proceeded to ground combat on a colony i didnt recognise. Since i had no units on my side it was a loss, and then a game over screen. I guess thats all there is in a demo? I've given the game about 30 minutes or so and I have some thoughts. The tip system needs a complete overhaul. I get this is very early concept and will likely be improved so not the biggest deal. That said I found it only marginally helpful as it is. Plus it seemed like it kept popping the tips up regardless of Xing the box. Building structures on the colony is still unknown to me. Before, the table had static texture and on click, redirected the player to the starting colony - surface view. Now, the table can show planet view or the starmap view on its surface. Clicking on it takes the player to the corresponding planet and view. There are additional buttons to cycle through colonies (surface and starmap view), and third button to bring the table to the original state.
