Big game developers are forgetting that small details really impact the big picture. It's disappointing and I see this with other franchises too. It usually goes something like this: The first game is full of passion and you can tell. Mechanics are detailed but fun, Easter eggs are interesting, and there are small animations/interactions that bring life into the game. Once that game blows up, they make another one to profit off of the success and the drive for money starts replacing the passion. If that second game isn't a flop or, better yet, another success, they pump out more games. The pattern continues until there's no passion left and it's just greed.
My point is that this game seems to be that tipping point. Planet Coaster was great, people loved it, Planet Zoo was better in my opinion, and now... Planet Coaster 2: where they lost the passion and now are driven by charging a ridiculous amount for a game that crashes regularly, runs poorly, and arguably has less content than the previous titles. I know sometimes it's a matter of releasing a title too early, but it's been almost a full year. You charged us $65 CAD for a playable(?) game, when you've proven you can do better, and want us to pay more for DLC?
At the end of the day, I'll still play and I don't hold it against anyone for enjoying the game. But don't expect a reward for this. I sincerely hope this review ages poorly and Frontier learns from their mistakes. Until then, I don't recommend.

Honestly, I'm loving this sequel! It's kind of unfair to compare it to PC1 since it only has two DLCs right now compared to the ton PC1 ended up with, but I've had a blast with it.
The visuals are super sharp. And seriously, once you get the hang of the path system, it’s a game changer, it’s just brilliant. It’s been ages since a game has sucked me in for hours without me even noticing the time fly by.
I'm super excited for whatever they add next. Yeah, there are a few little things that could be smoothed out, but the game is solid right now. It definitely does PC1 justice as a follow-up!

Fantastic if you like creative games, with an element of business strategy. Just to be clear - emphasis is more on the creative than on the business strategy. But it is a great game.
