Codename TCT 0.8.94 Demo Update is now live!

Good evening Everyone,

The final update of the next fest demo of Codename TCT is up. And it's a bigger one!

0.8.94 includes one of the planned features: the livestream. Finally that "rec" stamp in the top right hand corner of the screen will make sense. This will be a critical mechanic to the main game for making cash. Along with the new simple combo system, the greater your killstreak, the greater your potential donation from a viewer.

Demo will be up till 5th November. After that it should be making a comeback some time in 2025.

Currently there is still an issue with how the multi option toggles work under visuals. This will be addressed soon and likely be fixed when the demo drops again in 2025. For the time being it's worth remembering that multi options under visuals have to be toggled with left and right after the other to toggle to the next preset. Also for those finding the game too dark: recommend toggling the cine contrast under visuals at the very bottom.

0.8.94 includes:

-The livestream system. With dynamic comments which will adapt to what's going on onscreen

-Simple combo system. Killstreak based. You got 3 seconds to string a combo. Achieve combo threshold to get potential donations from livestream viewers

-A robust amount of new cinematic post options (available under visuals)

-multiple updates to levels

-selective AI tweaks

-further tweaks to pistol recoil, pistol ads recoil penalty lowered

-tweaks to shotgun recoil penality for tac shotgun and heavy shotgun

-fixed akimbo right mouse button fire bug

-a brand new cool weapon can be found on one of the levels:)

Some handy notes: -Despite sharing the same lore and kicking off where the main endgame drops off, Codename TCT is not a sequel to Neckbreak, but more of a power trip spinoff with roguelite and parkour elements. -You can alter the games visual settings under gameplay: -for a more Bodycam/Hardcore Henry feel and look, turn on all graphical settings under "gameplay" -for a cleaner, more classic look, recommend turning the following OFF: Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, Motion Blur, Lens Distortion. ...

Codename TCT 0.8.88 Demo Update is now live!

Codename TCT Demo update 0.8.88 is now live and ready for download. The demo itself is expected to be available til the end of the month. After that it will make a comeback in 2025, most likely updated with a freeroam section.

As for the update: this one boasts a new level and faction, besides the healthy dose of tweaks, fixes and polish.

Changes include:

-The Baths level, filled to the brim with a recurring Slavic gang. This level is accessible via regular progression, right after the slumblock garbage chute.

-Cinematic short range lens flare effect to apartment and baths

-Fix train station collider to adapt to update AI aggro and not shoot through it

-Updated station collisions for updated AI aggro

-Added reverb zone to station topside encounter

-Added reverb zone to passage

-Minor tweaks to slide speed

-General tweaks to AI groups to be slightly more aggressive

-Multiple tweaks to destructibles sounds

Codename TCT Demo update 0.8.87 is now live!

0.8.87 Codename TCT demo is now live.

This one besides the regular, fixes, tweaks and polish, has some pretty cool new visual settings.

Changes include:

-fixed pistol reolad time

-slumblock low audio added transition between passage arcade and main music crossfade (thanks: Kyon'cha Operative and McMarius11)

-fixed AR timescaling bug with reload block

-removed AI flee on low health (disabling this until I have some dedicated animations and sounds ready for this state. Currently, due to this, it looks like the AI is bugging out)

-updated AI in station level

-added multiple audio reverb zones based on environment surroundings

-updated slide full speed and exit speed (should be more intuitive now, especially exiting)

-added Visual bleed effect for player depending on damage taken

-added new visual settings "post cinematic": sharper image with strong contrast

-dependant on the above: pixelate feature, with multiple variations

I like it!

So far really fun shooting in slow mo! However, too much blur(especially on the gun your using), lights are VERY bright, and too much bloom. Clean and clear that image up and this'll be awesome. Please don't give us that "It's my art style crap." Blur and bloom, among other things CAN be too much. Don't cover that juicy steak up with too much seasoning! All in all good job so far!

The music featured in the trailer is a complete banger. Is it part of the game's dynamic Original Soundtrack and if so will we be able to buy it when the game is released? I'm not sure I've heard it in the demo. Awesome demo by the way!

Pretty decent bug here

So, got to the section where you get to meet the soldiers and grab yourself a tac shotgun or three. I did just that grabbing up two when I noticed the two guns endlessly cycling without my input, this was then proven with the third one in the mix. Amusingly, I now have a glorified 24 round revolving shotgun. However, it's impossible to reload them with this happening...
