New patch soon...
We just wanted to let everyone know we have a new patch cooking.

In my initial playtest of the new patch today, I had no crashes and no softlocks. It is going to QA this weekend, And hopefully to you all by Monday or Tuesday. Then we will work on the other issues you have all reported.

Hope you know that the yellow rabbit bobble on the antenna of the Midnight Motor car suggests that William Afton is the "yellow man" in Midnight Motorist and it's causing an uproar in the theory community because MM has been one of the most hotly debated parts of FNAF lore. If Scott didn't specifically tell you guys to put it there or tell you "Yes the Midnight Motorist is William fleeing a crime scene" then I'd suggest you redact the rabbit bobble and any references suggesting a "crime scene". People think this is a "canon" FNAF game that is shedding light on mysteries that haven't yet been solved. If this wasn't your intention and you are putting your own fan interpretations into the designs, then please say so.

At least the biggest issues will be solved from now on. I can't say I ever got a crash, unlike everyone I've seen play the game.

Happy to hear, hope the update releases without a hitch! The demo is great it needs lot of polish but the overall gameplay is there and it makes me happy even if it took me a while to get used to the key binds & snap drifting.

Good to hear that y'all are updating the demo. I think it'll be good since we can all give feedback and stuff. :)

Brother, it's a spin-off game. No lore is being confirmed. Just let this be a fun, silly kart racer and not a lore filled kart racer.

Preaching to the choir, brother. I like participating in the theory community but the way some of them latch onto anything that supports their own theory can be frustrating when you're trying to be practical. Like right now, no one can oppose the "aftonMM" movement without being dogpiled by lurkers.
Excited to read the patch notes :steamhappy:

im surprised any can understand the lore since anytime you make a logical time line of events something messes it up it seems.

As someone who has dug into the files of this game, I can confirm that you are wrong.

It's very likely the spring bonnie antennae was intentional as there's unused content involving MM lore including the car being referenced as a getaway vehicle for fleeing a crime. This just confirms something was 99% likely to be true anyway (MM being about Afton)

So far the next patch should address the following....

  • Fatal crash corrections
  • Collisions on Midnight Motorist's highway, making the kart fly through the map, triggering the "Out of border" event and therefore triggering the "WAKE UP!" crash
  • Soft locks in Sinkhole when being reset where the road separates into 3 ways
  • Soft locks in Sinkhole in the last lap's road
  • Resets that could cancel the current lap
  • Endo icon that could stay when stunning the Endo right before the nightshift ends
  • NPCs going into the off-road zone in Midnight Motorist
  • Fixed soft lock in Sinkhole where you could get reset on the third loop without the magnetic effect
  • Added "Restart Race" Button in the Pause Menu
  • Fixed UI - Screen Ratio Issues
  • Increased Revert/Brake speed, so reverting should be easier when getting stuck (Reverting is still slower than throttling!)
  • Added a visual effect to the Invincibility State of the kart
  • Fixed issue with placing at end of race different then your pole position number when crossing finishing line

We will be launching this patch initially as a Beta, we will post the beta code when it is finishing with QA testing.
