Driving has always sucked in this game, way too late to complain about that, though it has actually improved somewhat.
But GTA has had smooth and enjoyable driving mechanics since San Andreas.
K thats your opinion, GTA IV and V feel much better to me though and more realistic. I just hop in my car and drive around and enjoy it. in Watch dogs and sleeping dogs its more of a chore.

I'm surprised so many people find driving in this game dificult. I mean it sucks, sure, but it couldn't be easier if you had noclip...
GTA is also made by dev that's got tons of money, experience and complete focus on their franchise. They've been able to fine tune the driving and all the other mechanics over a huge number of games (GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Stories, GTA IV, etc.) this company had made two karting games and some collaboration on definitive editions.
