Prioritizing or Variety, whats your strat for your store?
Probably just the gamer in me, and the fact that Im trying to be like my local hobby shop, but Im trying to own and collect all the merch. Of course Ive been skipping certain duplicate licenses (like having 8 cleansers vs the 16 cleanser license) to make sure I have always have enough to get to the next product, but Im wondering, What are you guys doing for your store, and what do you find most efficient?

Not going to lie, Ive been having a rough time of it. Constantly restocking so many different products can be expensive, and trying to purchase as many licenses for products as possible can eat up quite a bit since there are so many products for each level, especially in the early stages. I also wanted to have as much possible because I thought the more I have, the better my reviews, and the better my reviews, the more foot traffic I get and the more people will buy. Though that doesnt necessarily seem to be the case. I just got a tad anxious when customers would complain that I didnt have x in my store.

But now, Im getting to the point where Im just started to restock certain things less, and Im think about just prioritizing certain products. At least for now. Im still around shop level 16, and Ive got tabletop, cards, accessories, plushes, etc. But now Im thinking about just doing the card packs to save up more money and basically min-max. Idk.

Curious to how you guys are going about your shops, and how you are getting the most bang for your buck.

i'm actually just trying to play without upgrading my shop space at all. the most 'efficient' thing i've done is used smaller wire shelves so i can fit more stock in a smaller space, and set up two scent machines at the door so i never have to worry about stinky customers. i like having a cozy place i can run entirely on my own, with just one of most different item types for sale (1 playmat, 1 deck, 1 collection album, instead of getting all different versions of those items). i only really care about getting all the cards, not all the merch.

I did variety all the way to 70, I'm now going to switch to a single item because I'm sick of restocking everything and it earns more anyway.

at the moment reviews has no effect on your store asfar as i know, so no reason to worry about it
foot traffic is based on your shoplevel/expansions unlocked
and at lvl 16 i woudnt worry about min maxing since you should be flying through levels still

but if you are interested the usual thing is just 1-2registers with very fast cashiers "you wont have these yet" 1-3 shelves stuck near entrance to get customers in and out quick "generally latest box pack" only for sale is the best, some changes recently changed XP for certain things so best to sell mightve changed

8 items strat, given the change from the recent patch, but I hate the non-resetting hot items element of the recent patch.(you will not see the detail of HOW the recent AI change works in the patch notes, even though it is very important for the game)

I use a strat that's a mix of min/maxing and my own preference on at least making my shop fun and presentable (level 68 atm):
- All my shelves are Wide Shelves to maximize purchases.
- I have at least one shelf (1/12 slots on the Wide Shelf) dedicated to every product I can unlock.
- I still have the max 7 tables (8 technically for aesthetics).
- All product and the two checkout counters are optimized around the main entrance to get shoppers in and out quickly. The tables are in the back end of the main room since they'll stay longer anyways.
- All extra space and a few extra shelves to fill space are stocked with Legendary Destiny Boxes. I've got roughly 5 full Wide Shelves full of those plus a few random spots on other shelves.

For now doing variety because I'm still taking card from my own shelves to complete collections. It keeps the stockers working all day. I hate idle employees. As I complete each expansion I will be removing them from my store.

I'm going variety. I did try doing the one-item thing until I hit level 40, but I got bored fast.

Stocking everything means I earn less and the game feels slower, but that's perfect for me personally. I play this game to relax and to roleplay running a store, not being in a rush to unlock everything.

i have 1 game play stock everything, it makes the game became laggy, endup going the items i think looks nice. and i dont like to see boxes and boxes in store, i gave up i just took the chill pills. If you got everything, i would rather they have phase out item.

I stocked everything, then switched to a single item when I completely remodeled my place. Then switched to all again(and new items were added), then switched to single item again and now rearranged everything again(and again new items were added).
I will take the plunge to restock everything again tomorrow probs when I have the time.

I try to stock everything. It's a little tedious and not super profitable (I'm on level 16, day 24). I have no employees as the low levels ones are just a waste of money it seems, I tried it and had to constantly take over to speed things along.

I try to keep enough on shelves to last most the day, and do an order/restock before closing at night. Don't think I'll end up doing the single item method at all, I don't play this kind of game to rush through, I wanna relax and coast along

Edit: Except selling singular cards, screw that. Not until I have a big enough collection to sell decent priced cards (duplicates only) I stopped that at day 12 or something. Too much time wasted for $1/2

I enjoy playing as a simulation so I try to run the store as one would in real life. I try to stock everything but don't make it a "must do" as soon as I unlock an item. I want to be profitable, but in a realistic manner. I tried the card table but at my level (17) that is just a losing proposition any way you slice it.

Some customers buy just a single pack of cards. Others might buy a few boxes and a couple of board games. That happens in real life and that's how I like it.

It does not lead to fast money but is fun to play.

Did the “one item strat” for a long time. Then started carrying everything after that got nerfed. With the new patch instead of just carrying the optimal 8 items I carry maybe 25-30. Everything over $40. But with extra Legendary Destiny boxes everywhere. Average about 25k XP and $60k.

no shot your sales net u 25k XP a day. you most be opening packs with a mod or something, even earning 90k a day in sales will not net you that XP

No Mods here. Legendary destiny boxes give 42 exp per. Most of the new playmats and figurines give similar amounts - some higher. Only use the wide shelves to increase customer purchases. Sell about 600 items per day and you are always in the low to mid 20’s. No card tables. No singles.
