Licenses kinda pointless?
There seems to be no real penalty for not offering anything besides cards only.
I got two saves. The one i bought many licenses and playing it normal. While the other save has only the cards and the card boxes.
As the title suggests the second save works way better, the npcs buy packs and boxes in huge quantities while the store rating is amazing as well with like 4.8+ stars.

I dont think that this should be a thing maybe less customers if you dont have many things or customers that dont buy that many boxes and cards would work better

Yes, the whole system seems not very well thought out.
I have a second save as well, where i only sell accessories, NO cards or boxes. I get way more money in that save compared to my normal.

Along these same lines, some licenses are just a waste of money? For example, buying a box of 64 packs costs the exact same amount as buying two 32 pack boxes. There might be a negligible amount of shipping saved, but buying that 64 pack license seems kinda dumb.

The licenses are needed post lvl 100 as the reviews will give 1 stars if you dont have the items on shelves

You also get 5 xp for buying 1 item. You doesn't get more for buying bigger boxes.
I usually just end up with buying 300-500 boxes at the same time, and let my employees sort them out while i just open packs. It's pretty much a player trap, which isn't rare in games tbf.

There is no penalty... yet.
The review system doesn't influence sales...yet.

i do think there should be a reward for having a variety of stock, but i do NOT think that 'unrealistic 1-star reviews if they aren't stocking everything, which increase in frequency as they unlock more products' is the solution. a small store that specializes in a few things can still be a good store, and it doesn't make sense to punish the player for leveling up. getting more customers per day when you have more going on in your store would make sense tho.

and yeah, it's pretty dumb that there's no bulk discount for the bigger boxes. also frustrating that the licences don't tell you how much the item costs before you buy the license.

You do actually get a discount in the bigger bulk items in the way of the delivery fee since that fee is based on item count not size. Plus bigger bulks save sanity by not having to make as many garbage trips

Yeah, that has been mentioned above, but it is a negligible amount when you make close to five figures a day. And since i'm doing the cash register (more checked out customers means more new customers over the course of the day), the garbage is handled by the two stockers i have.
Also, i would love to "see" more ambient sounds in the game, i'ts kinda unsettleing haveing all these mute customers :lunar2019deadpanpig:

What stores do people generally visit more frequently? The stores that stock lots of varieties, like Walmart, Target, Meijer, etc. The places that are going extinct are the stores that try to carry one type of thing. Hell, trading card, collectible shops like this don't even exist in most places because no one wants to have to drive to a store for one specific type of thing. They want to get a bunch of shopping done in one go. And it's quite realistic for a customer to go somewhere expecting to find a store that sells TCG items and leaving them a 1 star review if all they have is the most expensive box of cards everywhere in the entire store, which no TCG store sells only cards they all have a massive variety of collectible items.

You can't whine about wanting realism, get said realism, and then whine that you don't like the realism....

I agree, the game needs to be more rewarding for having everything you can unlock stocked in your store.

Yeah the idiots that are like 'oh no you don't stock this extremely bad item with barely any profit rating 1 star, will not recommend!'

The game is filled with Karens and Kevins lol

how about items will get you less exp overtime so you need to change often while the item price change overtime throughout the game base on events since we don't got monthly event to follow yet I think it will make the game interesting, events base on new card releases just like real life (sneak peak) holiday etc

That would punish people for having everything in the store so that's not something you want.

How about a diminishing system where you gain little XP if you only sell 1 kind of item. It make sense as you never had experience in selling other things.

This would be a good idea, if they also balance other kind of xp gains accordingly to it.
For example, gaining xp according to how much i spend on boxes would be a good start.
I bought 1000x4 legendary destiny boxes and it gave me 5000 xp, and it cost me 400k. Do you think that's a fair trade? 400k income would be x16 of that amount. Makes no sense to me. (100k income i about 20k xp, or around that amount)
