18 seconds ...... 18 seconds on top of the 24 seconds

times goes at 1 second per second, thats 42 seconds for 1 customer .....

Why in the god heck is the cashier slowly putting money on the table????

The slowness of the cashier was one of the biggest distastes about supermarket simulator, and the dev has been paying attention to it massively, making this less of an issue, but even supermarket didn't have this asinine way of giving change.

Please change this .... if the change is £37.84 just get the cashier to hold for a few seconds and give this amount in 1 lump sum, this'll cut the insane queueing, and im only lv17, lv17 and the queueline is winding around my store and nearly filling out into the street, jesus ... lol

I mean that's why there's better employees available! And good tip is to round all your prices up so instead of 37.84 they would only have to give 38.

I can say the cashiers with "very fast" speed can basically handle my whole shop with barely a queue at level 75 so yeah.

I mean "At lv75" speaks for itself, im just talking about early on, i find i need to constantly kick the cashier off to get the queue moving.

Yeah, rounding helps a lot. Getting the second cashier also helps a lot. Can be done pretty early on. I think I was in the 20s level range when I got the second cashier. And I round everything to 25 cents so they don't have to deal with as much change. At level 49 I have 3 cashiers and only 1-2 cashiers being used at a time. But the third one helps when it gets really busy later in the day.

do the register yourself = no complaints
round your prices to the dollar = no loose change

pay to employ somebody on the register = can open packs all day.

whats there to complain about? the customers don't leave in a rage if they don't get served.. they'll stand there all day waiting to pay. too slow? get 2 registers.

So there is a benefit to checking them out faster. The shop can only have so many people in at a time. Longer lines means less new people coming in during the day to buy stuff. So you make less money.

I think the progression difficulty up to lvl 50 is pretty good, any less and it would be too easy to be rewarding. I'd personally just man the counter myself until you can hire better workers.

Jocheah is right about rounding the prices. It will really speed things up. Something else I did was buy a second cash register for $1500. When I line started to form I would hop on it before it got too big and clear some of the customers myself. After a while I hired a second cashier and I haven't seen a line of more than 3 people on either.

Hope that helps.

I think thats the point im trying to make though, if the cashiers upto lv50+ are that useless, they really shouldn't be in the game, they'll only cause headaches with new players to get frustrated with and cause negative feedback, which is what happened with me, from the games point of view just telling people to man the cash register yourself is not a valid solution people should be pushing forward, when the devs actually would like people to use a hired help early, only for every single player to regret and remove them almost instantly, pushing useless things in a game is never a smart idea.

So you want the best workers right from the start to just do everything for you? Where's the progression in that?

Terance isn't even that slow to begin with, just needs help sometimes. The level 25 guy is "very fast". So you aren't waiting until level 50.

They're not useless up to lvl 50, that's just for all progression in general. Past lvl 50 I will agree with you that it's a grind. Before that I think it's all good.

I don't remember what lvl they unlock at but a fast cashier should work well enough. Add a second till to manually get through the morning rush and you're good.

NONSENSE! Your store has awful prices like £3.00 my store has premium prices like £3.99.

Take your £5 and blow it, you can't compete with my £6.50 OR my £9.25

Sounds like your still pretty early on. You get better cashiers later. i would reccomend just doing the counter/stocking yourself until about lvl 20/25. And ditch card tables cause they suck (unless you want the achievment)

This is what I did. Up until I could get the Very fast Checker.
