Terrible saturation/brightness/contrast
I'm wondering how did the developers even test the game? did they tweak their displays to something REALLY REALLY specific to make this look good?

edit: changing my screen's black equalizer from 13 to 10 made it better

A bit too bright to my taste, but the saturation reminds me of late 90 and early 2000s SEGA games
I agree. I typically like LAD's high-contrast look... but it feels like it's all been cranked up to 11 in this one. I can't find a good brightness setting. Either the brights are totally blown out, or else the darks are just inky blackness. I'm curious how Honolulu looks, when I get there.

And there's something funky about the adaptive brightness, too. It feels like the brightness shifts constantly. Or on the first night, I was just trying to go look at the stars by the coastline. But the stars were either impossible to see, or so bright that the whole sky turned bluish.

I had to activate the Tritanopia setting to +2 to make the game easier to look at

I was just about to make this same EXACT thread.

The difference between some of the light and shadow areas is huge!
There is something off with the lighting.

Bumping this. This is definitely a serious problem. I even compared this game to the previous LAD entry to see if it's my imagination or not but the game looks TOO BRIGHT that it hurts to look at the screen after 30 mins.

Getting the same problem but i think mainly during auto-exposure going from dark place to bright place and it just gets cranked to the max

Getting in and out of the fights is where it gets worse. I'm literally bummed about it. I cannot play the game without taking a break every 10 mins.

i thought its me, but seems everyone have that problem

Yup, brightness/contrast is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I simultaneously can't see what's going on in shadowy areas and get blinded wherever the sun touches.

Glad I am not the only one. This game is way too bright. I hope they can fix this because all other Yakuza games look really good.

Yes, this was immediately apparent to me when during the brightness calibration the white side symbol was completely invisible. My own monitor+ settings already has a bias towards white so if the game isnt well calibrated I'd rather have a bias towards darker blacks.

It looks like a voluntary cinematographic effect, like Sony's Cinetone.
It is kinda unexpected into a game.

Add to that people used to over saturated vivid screens like Samsung etc...

It was already bad in infinite wealth, here I'm literally disassociating just so I can act like I can see anything.

Glad to see I'm not only one. It's really bad to me and I tend to like high contrast.
