Go get the quest "The Mystery of Razak” in Razak’s Wheel (public dungeon). Enjoy your none flame Dwarven Spider Pet. But yeah not excatly for free have to put some effort into it.
If you don't belive then here is at least the info on it.

I definitely didn't click follow on ESO, just like I didn't opt in for mailers for this pet I already have from previous events. Yet here we are, on my steam feed, and mailers in my inbox anyways.
It all reeks of desperation with the free Epic giveaway, backed up by free eso+ trial, with free mounts, and free Arcanist themed body tattoos, and free torchbug pet. Clearly Necrom didn't go as well as they hoped or they wouldn't be trying this hard. Next it'll be buy Necrom for 60% off and get a free house for doing our exclusive Necrom event or some other such nonsense.
Lawrence Schick (ESO's loremaster) did the right thing when he bailed from ESO for "family reasons" then immediately started working at Larian on Baldur's Gate 3.. lol
I've got nothing against the guy, but he was a glorified marketing executive and he butchered the lore in one of the VERY FIRST commercials they did where they remade the bedtime story "goodnight moon" and called it "goodnight mundus"
Masser and Secunda are the moons, Mundus is basically space. Not to mention how the game itself, just by existing, butchers the lore.
I've been signed up for years. Fun fact, they did this same campaign back in 2021.
For 3 months afterwards I got an email at the beginning, middle, and end of the month, for a total of 3 emails a month, all of which were about in game events.
I have not received another email that wasn't an account notice from either Zenimax or Elder Scrolls since. (until the code for this campaign)
tl;dr: Your loss suckers.
If you're an active player you can also just sign into a charakter and immediately have announcements take up the majority of your screen.
I used to be signed up and I got emails for new mounts, microtransaction discounts and other garbage.
tl;dr: You're not missing out on anything. Eso makes you pay for anything actually worth having.
Sign up for garbage if you want, but i don't see any reason as to how this could benefit a steam user when we already have a tab for these news.
