Subclasses will destroy diversity and create new "Boundless Storms"
Update 44 killed diversity within a class, and subclasses will kill diversity across all classes. For example, Hurricane is vastly better than Boundless Storm, to the point where it deals more damage over its 20 second duration than Boundless Storm does over its 30 second duration. The only reason to use Boundless Storm pre-update 44 was that you were mag. Now that Hurricane scales with Mag, there is no reason to use Boundless Storm. ESO created dead abilities as a result of Update 44.

When we get the subclass update, we are going to get dead classes. There will be classes that go the way of Boundless Storm, never to be used because Hurricane is better in every way. Sure you can choose to make a subpar build, no one is stopping you, but if you want to max ur dps, you're going to have all your classes ending up with the same abilities...... it's going to make the game BORING.

no doubt
I have a feeling that with a multiclass idea it will be monetised.... similar to the armoury slots or outfit slots. We will have one 'free' skill slot from the other class to apply, if you need more to mix-match, spend 1500 crowns to unlock 1 additional skill slot from the other class (per character!).

they literally said that wasnt the case and explained it in very clear terms. you dont even need to buy the content to get multiclassing.
