ESO 223k
You may have made a character on one of the new servers.
Anyway OP. You will be best off playing ESO. Just take it as a feeling I have, hmm a strong feeling xD
Most people are in story content instances, raid instances, roulettes, in town, in residence zones (having parties and whatnot) or hopping back and forth between servers.
All cities are packed at all hours of the day.
Most larger zones do feel dead, however, but that is largely due to how FF works with instances. If you know where to look, you'll find plenty of people in specific zones working on tradeskills and other stuff.
So, it's not "horizontal nature". It's megaservers. pooling all players together
You can lie as much as you want, but it not make your messages true.
Hell, I am leveling psijic skill line for my secondary characters now and I am meeting other players around all time breaches with light around their head.
It is one on the boring side of activities, yet you can meet many players to do it. What about fun activities then?
Funny how the internet works, eh? Everyone has a voice, but actions speak louder than words.
Sorry for the late reply. I will not post any links, because I know where it all will end.
I am not saying my numbers are 100% correct, which I of cause should have mentioned.
Games that are popular on twitch is usually popular if the number is consistent. Its not entirely accurate but there's a correlation.
Now FFXIV have 10.4k viewers .
ESO have 961 viewers.
Those are the numbers I got at the time I wrote this. You will see numbers going up and down.
Normal FFxiv is around 6-7k. ESO round 1k-1.6k viewers.
We know WoW is very popular, which also reflects the over all viewer count on Twich.
Sorry about the confusion.
LOL - there is a long queue because they have nerfed the pop caps for each faction in Cyrodiil. What used to be able to hold 300 ppl per faction now only holds 60 people per faction, which is the EXACT reason there is any kind of queue at all for Cyrodiil, if the pop caps were still the original size there wouldnt be a queue.
Literally holds 20% of its original capacity, which is why when you get through the queue, you enter into a largely dead map where almost nothing is happening compared to what Cyrodiil used to look like with only 1 bar per faction just 5-6 years ago. Game mode was abandoned by a decimated dev team who were moved on to other games 5 years ago now.
