It's a joke? the guy who defends ESO (a game where classes don't matter at all and you can practically beat any activity alone) over Final Fantasy 14 which always requires collaboration for any dungeon, raid or trial... it's incredible
You have no idea what you are talking about!
MMO = massively multiplayer online game
I have news for you. Final Fantasy is about 1000 times more massive than ESO
RPG = role-playing game
In Final Fantasy roles really matter in ESO they DO NOT
FFXIV = MMORPG
ESO = ??? no one knows
Wow and gw2 are 1000 times better gameplay and graphics.
And swtor story is miles ahead.
If that were true, by comparison ESO would look like a game from the 1800's.
PLEASE.. gw2 does not even have housing
light years from Final Fantasy
ESO is better than qw2
Yep.. then in the trash it goes.
End of discussion.
This is all the proof anyone needs that OP is a low effort troll.
complete bull.
You can't beat any encounter solo and yes classes actually DO matter.
FFXIV does not require collaboration at all LOL, theres the trinity system similar to every other major mmorpg.
I've played FFXIV before a realm reborn , and EQ for over 20 years, I know what I'm talking about kiddo.
The only person who doesn't know what their are talking about is you. You actually claim FF is better looking than ESO but when I do a compare of the graphics on ultra it is by far not better looking than ESO.
Also, tab targeting combat is better than twitch combat? I don't think so. I'll ask you this then; how many houses did you own in FF? And what raids did you get too? Guys like myself maxed out that game and in turn, there is actually LESS to do than games like ESO, end game.
Every game will eventually get stale, it happens, but saying one is better than the other is a childish move, by saying " Final Fantasy is about 1000 times more massive than ESO" is laughable at best, because for that same caveat I can say well, EverQuest is 1,000,000 times larger than both combined but yet the population isn't there!
so for summary:
ESO roles matter
FFXIV roles matter
ESO more uniqueness in class/individual class builds
FFXIV has zero uniqueness in class/individual builds
ESO more of a traditional MMO than FFXIV
FFXIV is more akin to a single player RPG
Yes.
It is the only thing that the game has against.
But I think that way the community stays healthier, with fewer trolls and more people who value the game.
Benjamin Franklin once said, “There are no gains without pains.”
depends, you can play the base game and the 1st expansion for free (without needing to buy the game or pay a sub), however if you want to play the other expansions you need to buy them and pay a sub.
ESO roles matter ------- Wrong
FFXIV roles matter ------ Correct
ESO more uniqueness in class/individual class builds
FFXIV has zero uniqueness in class/individual builds
--- 2 tricky answers. ESO is a total mess and therefore any race or class can be a tank, a healer or a DPS according to the skills it uses. And ultimately none of that matters when a DPS can solo any dungeon if he's level enough. Therefore the tank and healer are commonly ignored in most dungeons while the DPS rushes to the end. And on top of everything ESO allows for fake tanks and fake healers.
Final Fantasy uses a class system that is completely different and where you can tell the big difference between one class and another. And where all the classes are really important and you can't do without them (the trinity) in any raid, trial, or dungeon.
So everything you suggest about the large number of variants and builds doesn't make any sense.
At the same time, the game (ESO) doesn't explain anything about the gear, whether it's PvP or PvE and you constantly have to resort to external sources to choose your clothes that you will later expire because they change the conditions with each update.
ESO more of a traditional MMO than FFXIV - No, is not. ESO it's a hybrid with no purpose or good rewards for the player and whose sole purpose as a gme is to sell more DLCs, so there is no sense of progression and a player who starts playing today can play the newest dungeon and visit any area on the map, because players they do not require experience or quests for that, they just need to invest real money
FFXIV is more akin to a single player RPG - You are speaking inconsistencies and you contradict yourself. 90% of the activities in FF14, including the Market Board, require other players. And the famous "trinity" i.e. DPS, TANk and Healers.
Not to mention Chocobo racing and many other activities.
In fact FF14 has a party finder, that is to say that you can not only search for dungeons but also active parties that are looking for players for different activities. In ESO meanwhile they have to use the public chat and shout all the time to see if they get people. ESO is just a worse game.
Everybody does it from time to time. Well, not all but some people do.
LOL chester?
I wanted to say Jesters
