You can use in-game Mail to send things from one account to another - but only if they are on the same server network (NA or EU). This should work for all inventory items not "Character Bound".
But moving things like characters, experience, and Champion points between two different accounts cannot be done.
you can link your steam account to eso account but i was asking if i could get all stuff from my old account, this is important.
If, however, you choose "new account", then you forfeit your chance to add the DLC to your existing account. ESO will create a new account for you. And as the poster above said, there is no known way to merge two existing accounts. You could ask Zenimax support of course, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
ESO does not use the term "merge", and technically it is not possible to merge two existing accounts into one. The way to get old characters into your ESO game on Steam (and content bought on Steam onto your old ESO account) is to _link_ your accounts _before_ creating a new account for the Steam-based version,
If you ask about "merging", then you will get answers like the first one, because that isn't possible - but _linking_ provides the functionality that you seem to want.
But if you are talking about linking characters from steam with your eso then no you can't do that, but you can login using your eso account even if launching from steam.
okay, what about buying stuff from steam only. because i used steam for regional prices so after linking my eso account can i still purchase incoming expansion packs/subscribtion via steam or not?.
i dont care much my steam characters because im relatively new (lvl 25).
You can, however, ask Zenimax support if they they can delete your Steam-based account so that you can then link your old account. I've heard contradictory reports about whether that works or not though, so I would only do this if you really don't care about your Steam-based ESO account, and don't mind losing its contents even if that doesn't let you link your old account in the end.
Asked a few months later and they said 'no'.
Asked again one more time and they said they could, but it would take a while, and that time it worked: they switched my steam account to be linked back to my original ESO account with all my original characters.
I had had a LOT invested in that original account so it ended up being worth it. But, it took a long time and much persistence, so I'm not sure I'd recommend trying it unless it's really important to you. Maybe your luck will be different. Either way, I hope you have fun in Tamriel!
Back then I payed a monthly fee, but never on Steam. We switched to Steam a couple of years ago, when we decided to play again and wanted to keep everything together.
My friend did the same thing, we started playing way back in Beta.
I don't know if there is still a way to do that or not though.
The only way to resolve this is to delete your Steam-based account on the ESO server, which only Zenimax can do. Once again: You cannot resolve this by yourself.
I have a couple of old games that I've just added to Steam and I don't notice any difference.
I think I added Age of Conan just as a convenience when logging in.
That let my keep all my goodies from the original game.
And I was able to keep all my stuff from The Secret World too, but I think that had to be done when they first moved it onto Steam.
