but switching bars is not so difficult, you realy should learn that, bc the sorcherer has more usefull skills then you can add to the 10 keys
it is for me better to reach the 5 keys than having to leave the movement keys to reach another key right of 6
i belive weaving is for the most people harder to learn than switching the bars. no offense but you should try to find someone ingame (prefered with voice) that explains how to play a kind of rota and switch weapons.
i have people in my guild that are over 70 and one (younger) had a brain virus, another a stroke - all play low end but get that done easy.
on my 2 mains (templar & sorc) i have an offensive bar to make dmg, and one defensive with heal staff that i switch to if i get in trouble. the templar has good healing skills and the sorc great shielding and some like crit surge to buff dmg and heal. you can also add entrophy from the mages guild, and regeneration from the staff to buff overtime heal.
so it has some sense and for my fingers its good to play ;)
have fun :)
By the way Power Surge is for a healer; critical surge is for a DPS. I use critical surge as my main heal as it is very powerful and procs for around 30 seconds, which is useful.
I don’t know, if it is useful for PVP play, because I don’t have any experience with it.
I have DD “Critical Surge” with my sorcerer.
Learn to bar swap. It will benefit you significantly in the long run.
Elemental Drain is good in PvE stuff, it doesn't incite an attack, helps Magicka sustain via Magickasteal, and increases damage via Penetration.
In a Dungeon, the Tank should be providing the Major pens, Healers often run Elemental Drain as well to assist group DPS and sustain. You won't need it there as a DPS Sorc. Critical Surge also helps you heal to reduce pressure on Healer.
Major breach is not the only reason to slot ele drain, it's minor magicka steal that gives magicka sustain, in solo play, it's a big help as well for extra penetration and sustain.
