Is ESO too easy?
I want to have a MMORPG, that I can play constantly without getting bored.
Ill always try it with ESO but it feels so easy. It feels like you can destroy the whole world completely alone. Every class just can do everything. You can tank, heal and deal damage as a solo player and that low difficulty is it, what puts me away from ESO again.
Is it just me?

You must be a troll or elitist, I struggle constantly with the world bosses, there is plenty of difficult stuff but if you've mastered the game good for you! Most overland/quest zones are easy though and i like that, means i can enjoy the story.

Most of the world bosses are a bad joke. Even a friend of mine, who possibly played 50 hours, easily beats the most world bosses solo.
I dont deny, that there are some more challenging parts, but you cant keep up your motivation by just focus on these handful of activities...I cant at least.
I miss the times, where a heal was a heal and a tank was a tank. Now just everybody is an everything-destroying-machine.

Edit: And no. Neither a troll nor an elitist.
When I only want a story without a challenge, then Ill watch a movie.

if you want difficulty enter the difficult game modes.
vet trial hardmodes for example.
especially the newer ones.

open world is just some tutorial mode you can rofl stomp with anything 99% of the time.

If you have a fair amount of levels then yes, you can solo all the overland content, including world bosses, and a fair bit of the dungeon content, some vet DLCs being problematic for soloing.

The only option for such chars is vet HM trials.

Talk about cherry picking.

99% of the game is an idle clicker. Combat is so pointless in overland and story content that it should be 100% optional.

This is bad game design. By far the bulk TEST players play to explore and discover, NOT repeat the same tired "content" over and over again.

The game needs optional world tiers.

Don't think they are trolling. If you have a build that can sustain, most of the time it comes down to knowing how to roll and block.

For anyone that has ever played a tank and not a mindless DPS position in a dungeon/trial, the bosses are a joke except for the ones that have hard DPS checks.

If you are struggling, you need to check your build...

ZOS is planning to increase the overworld difficulty in April or something like that.
Personally, I'd love to have it as an option. Give us x2 exp and gold from killing stronger enemies, but leave an option for others or when you don't want to get through those waves of spounges.
It would be perfect to apply that to quests, tbh. Everything related to quests is usually instanced or local, so easier to buff.

try pvp then

This is one of the issues that will be addressed in updates going forward. Matt mentioned it in his year-end letter. It'll take some time because they need to balance a system between Vets, new players, and everyone in between.

Not in April, that'd be a neat trick but no, the year-end letter addresses issues that will be tackled in the future, but this April is going to showcase content that they've already been developing over the past year. Keep in mind that since 2016 (the start of development for the Morrowind chapter) the development deadline has lasted consistently from one June to the next, with the content release schedule for every quarter delayed by a full year. So what we'll be seeing in April is a preview of content that they've been working on since last year.

I wouldn't bet on any systems addressing difficulty until year's end at the earliest. That is, if they choose to do this the right way and create an optional system. If they just blanket increase difficulty for everyone, I'll be very disappointed and confused because that doesn't fit Rich or Matt's development pattern or philosophy.

YES! World tiers. I said this is my review. Peoples only defense is "do hardcore trials solo" etc. Thats no defense. The whole experience needs to be challenging and rewarding, Not 15% of it.
They did post back in December that they will be "increasing the difficulty of the overworld" so that's the only reason I am back here. We will see if its meaningful enough to try again.

Me too. I just hope they deliver it soon enough. Oh well, back to waiting.

yes i would approve this, too.
i just stated how it is atm.
Try PVE in Cyrodiil, there are quests, dailies. There are enemies (called enemy players) that can kill you in 2 seconds, they have no real life, always min/max, they can burst heal, they can tank, and do burst damage at the same time while you doing your easy questing or collecting skyshards and fishing. And they are super fast as well! And they kill you in 1.8 seconds. I wish those sweaty-sweats could take over and control a worldboss for a daily quest in overland to make it a challenge.
