research scrolls are the only thing highly useful but they are expensive

aside from the dlc zones/dungeons, the only thing i would buy is either the summonable banker or the vendor, to have more free inventory space on the go if you are not an eso+ subscriber.

(i havent subscribed since greymoor, and both the banker and vendor have been valuable assets since then)
Id say the banker and vendor as well, but is it really worth it at nearly 30quid each in real money! Scandalous the amount they want for those silly crowns and what they can buy in game.

The two latest companions perhaps? Zerith-Var's skill is quite useful. I never knew how many heavy sacks that I missed in-game until I started using that. :P
Nice to have a couple armory slots per character.
And also nice to have convenience things, like the deconstructor, vendor, and bank pets so you can deal with inventory crap anytime, anywhere.

Huh do you not just get him through a quest?

buy your favorite DLC zone so if you run out of sub you'll still have that

No, Zenith-Var and Tanlorin are Crown Store exclusives. Their quests aren't available until you pay for them.

Tan's perk is quite useful too, makes it easier to pick or force a lock and reduces lockpick breakage.

Was he free recently? I know I have him and pretty sure I didn't pay

Pretty sure it's free for ESO Plus atm
Thanks for the tips, gonna get a mount skin asap and then afterwards going for the bankers and merchants. Are there any specific ones you'd recommend?

Thanks for the feedback guys, good stuff!

the kitty cat and the quirky elf are free for subs but you still can buy them just in case

If you have spent enough real $$ on Crowns, start by buying a banker and a trader. Then do yourself a favor and grab the vampire SET(!), which makes you a vampire AND maximizes the skill points on it. There are a few minor drawbacks, like vendors don't want to talk to you anymore, because they won't talk to monsters, but you have a private one. The benefits of being a vampire outweigh everything, especially if you pursue a career as a thief and/or an assassin. Enjoy!

I use to play a lot of social mmo's, so things like eyebrows, hair, small adornments to make your costume pop and give your character the correct details you want. Shame that the transmog and bound system transform sandbox into litterbox.
It's just pixels, you don't even own it. Why waste REAL money? O_O
