Orc Sorcerer Help
So back in the day when the game first released I had the silly idea of making my main a OrcSorc, and well he's a bit lacking specially when it comes to dps. Can this be fixed? Can I make this guy capable to destroying world bosses on his own?

I prefer to play with swords, rather than ranged or magic. What can I do to get a little more out of this guy?

You can easily get 50k dps as any class and any race, so don't worry about it. And 50k is decent enough, I play all roles mostly solo and most people playing random vet dungeons don't even have this much damage (the average is probably something like 20-30k).

You have very low crit, you need to farm better sets. Start with Mother's Sorrow in Deshaan OR Deadly Strike from guild vendors (depending on what type of armor (light, medium or heavy) you use). Also get the Thief mundus stone.

Noble Duelist
Storm Master
Briarheart
Order's Wrath <- some other good starting sets

Don't use heavy armor if you intend to DPS, heavy armor is for tanking only.

Also if you can afford it get the High Isle DLC and farm Oakensoul mythic ring, it makes DPS so much easier when you're just starting out. And you can use it in any build honestly, not just heavy attack.

Are any of the sets that you can craft worth the time or is it all in the ones that are drops?

And what can I expect my weapons/spell damage to go upto on a half decent build? currently rocking 3kish

Very good advice I came here to offer the same listen to this guy ^
I kind of liked my heavy armour, most things couldn't even do any damage, but yes I finally got a 5 parts of mothers sorrow and bought a cheap Hexos set and wow made so much difference! Just got to get that ring now. Thanks for all the advice.

Yes, the crafted sets are totally fine for non-competitive play. Eg, I have a ‘do everything’ char that uses Orders Wrath and Hundings Rage and does just fine even in Vet dungeons.
