The Elder Scrolls Online

Setting up on a external hard drive?
So I wanted to try out ESO, and I just got a external TB hard drive since I don't wanna hold 130 GB on my main computer. I have it downloaded, but every time I enter the launcher that wants another 90 GB, it disconnects the hard drive out of nowhere and along with my new keyboard. Every other game has been running fine, it's just this launcher. I tried to look online and I couldn't find a straight answer, all I got was the official website saying "We are not able to guarantee the smooth running of Elder Scrolls Online if the client is installed to an External Hard Drive". Any help is appreciated.

Your drive shouldn't disconnect on heavy activity, so this might be something with it's power supply. If it's USB only, the port might not be sufficient (e.g. USB 2 vs USB 3).

If you can't get it fixed but theoretically have to space on C:, just move the game folder to C: (no need to reinstall, no need to do anything in Steam). Go to the launcher sub folder and open the launcher directly without Steam. Let it patch the files, then move everything back and launch the game as usual.

Yeah, I didn't realize but I had it plugged into USB 2 mostly due to cord length. It doesn't matter anyway because I had it though family share, so I technically don't even have a account. Thank you though.
