Trait Materials can any one help
I am getting to the point where I can no longer progress in crafting because trying to get hold of Nirnhold is proving impossible. Been to every area of the map including Imperial City etc. In all that time only obtained one. Cannot understand why it as been made so difficult to get hold of this material and the guild stores cost so much. I am at the point now in giving up. The other problem is obtaining the materials for legendary crafting. Which again cost far to much in Guild Stores. Thsi part of the game could of been better designed.

That's the nature of the "nirnhoned" trait. Every character only ever get ** 1 ** piece of nirnhoned equipment (as a reward for one of the quests in Craglorn). To get the rest, you're expected to trade for them.

You best bet is to ask in chat or in your guilds for someone who can craft them for you. I provided the crafting materials along with 5,000 gold per item as a "thank-you" fee. The only other option is to buy nirnhoned gear from guild vendors, but that won't come cheaply.

As far as legendary materials are concerned, there's a few ways to collect them. The best is to have "meticulous disassembly" from the Crafting CP tree active whenever you're refining raw materials. It significantly improves your chance of getting legendary crafting materials when refining or disassembling legendary items (which can be obtained from certain veteran or veteran hard-mode trials, weekly trial rewards, or Cyrodiil war campaign rewards).

I am curious, havent tested it yet. Can i use mundus effects from gears while using the Steed, will i be able to move faster on foot? Default on Steed is 10% speed and wondering if any items i have on that has mundus effects will increase additional speed.

Have anyone tried that or tested it?

Yes. My character is faster. Remember that you also get a slight boost in health recovery. So, running a tank with heavy armor, it's awesome.

You mean Nirncrux - trait material for crafting? They drop only in Craglorn - it is a rare random loot from resource nodes. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Nirncrux

Usually you dont need much of them - just 1 for your weapon on the front bar (if you are planning to use craftable set).

If you need researchable item with Nirnhoned trait then you have to buy it (if you dont want to complete entire craglorn quest line on your another characters). Usually you need it for daggers, destruction staff, 2-handed sword - what main weapon you are planning ro use. No need to buy all of them. TTC site can help to find cheapest available item:

False vMA items also drop in Nirnhoned

Somebody needs to tell UESP then...

"Exemplary items with this trait can only be found by completing the Dawn of the Exalted Viper quest in Craglorn, and you can only receive one per character."
