ESOStore account user buying from Steam

Returning player here. I bought ESO forever ago, so the account is tied to the Zenimax site. Does anyone know how buying from Steam works in that case? I have my account linked, so can I just buy the Collection from Steam and get all the stuff, or am I permanently locked to the ESOStore for purchases now?

Once you've linked your two accounts, any purchases you make will be bound to your main account.

1. Buy ESO collection on Steam. Do not log into ESO through Steam yet.
2. Link your ESO account to your Steam account in your ESO account settings.
3. You can now play through the Steam launcher, and purchase through both Steam or ZOS, everything you buy will be licensed to the same ESO account.
