[Solved] Controller Not Connecting

My controller doesn't seem to be working with ESO and i'm not sure why. I've turned on Gamepad in settings, but to no avail. It doesn't want to connect, despite the game stating it has support for Xbox controllers. And I know the controller works, because it functions fine in other games and even on ESO with Steam Input turned on.

I would just leave Steam Input on, but i'm running into issues where controls aren't functioning as intended, such as Jump/Interact. I can't leave a building unless I want to get rid of Jump on that same key, or just re-bind Interact to some ungodly button combination.

I've played the game perfectly fine in the past, but now i'm on a new PC and not sure what the problem is.

Found the issue. One of the first things I did was install an addon called "Combat Reticle" after downloading ESO and it caused a conflict with the gamepad. Disabling the addon allowed for controller support to function properly. For those that run into this issue and still want to use the addon, disable Gamepad in settings and unplug it to be sure its not running. Type in /reloadui in the chat menu, then go to the addon settings and customize it to your desire. Save your changes, then you'll be able to utilize the addon even with the controller after re-enabling Gamepad. Functions fine so far anyway.

First you must Troubleshooting Pad on Windows,Tap Controller on Windows search and check weather you can press Buttons .If that work
your Controller work for the Game. Then you must konfigurate Keybindings on Steam.and check whats right for you. and be sure you load Teso Standart konfig. If Ingame one or 2 buttons are missing konfig it ingame .(there are two Settings for Controller on Steam) and at rightklick on game/controller everything must be active-overwriting for game-/steam input active.i was doing that today cause problems...

i had a similar issue but its been resolved as long as i close the launcher once i hit play in the launcher and the game actually starts booting up.
