Constantly Having To Repair

Everytime I go to launch ESO, the launcher says that i need to repair the game. Any suggestions?

I have been trying to figure this out for 8 months now. As far as I can tell, the game only works for about 75% of the people that buy it. I am stuck in the 25 % that cannot seem to get the game to launch. I actually got to play for 7 minutes last year. And then I logged out and when I came back after dinner, the game decided to download another 45 GB patch. Then it never worked again.

Someone please help this person. I am current having the same problem as these two and it is the most frustrating thing.

I had this yesterday after the patch, told me to repair in my launcher...i simple ignored it and started the game... works for me.

If you are 100% you run the last version of the game and you're stuck on repairing or the game plainly doesn't launch.
Navigate to (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client) *NOTE, my steam folder is located in C while yours might be not.

Then simply run ESO.exe which will launch the game non steam and bypasses the launcher.

i run my TESO as adimestrator and use the path -> (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client)

Like Aragon_1974, I ignored it, closed the launcher, then re-opened it and it worked fine. o_O

Had this myself yesterday, had it say it needed to check the files because it was out of sink with servers afterwards it said it couln't find a soulution but then the play icon came up and I just ran it as normal. I haven't had any problems since. Maybe you should contact Zenimax and see if they can come up with a solution.

What i do and has worked for others is launch TESO outside of steam from your desktop and it wont ask for a repair,

Had this just now, exited out of the launcher, relaunched it, started and played fine. Probably just sloppy programming from Bethesda and Zenimax. They did make the Fallout series...

Happened to me last night for the first time. While I was letting it repair, I checked the forums and saw how some people just closed it and relaunched it and it worked so I tried it and it was fine. Still working today so hopefully thats all people need to do.

I have to restart Steam each time if Repair pops up for me.

Yeah, if you google this, the first two pages are people saying they fixed it by just closing the launcher and relaunching it and pressing repair is the last thing you should do. Again, these are the companies that made Fallout so we need not be surprised by the shoddy programming.

Yup, pretty much. Also played again today/tonight for a few hours and this time no need to repair after quitting.

If you have the latest ESO patch you don't need to repair every time. There is a problem with the launcher not recognizing patch logs nothing is wrong with your copy. I've been reading extensively about this error and there are 2 things you can do. You can close and open the patcher until you can see the play bottom or run the game directly from it's eso.exe. Zenimax know's about this error and they say they are working on it. It's going to take some time since most of their r&d is busy with console clients but be assured is not your copy of the game.

ZENIMAX no longer cares about PC version anymore, consoles are where the money trail leads them nowadays
