is it just me who'd love a like magic grimoire or spell tome weapon?

i havent really asked anyone much before but just saw someone talkin about it on a different post of mine and figured it earned its own disscussion and thats adding a magic spell book as a entire new weapon so there is a second choice for those who wanna use a magic weapon other than the dorky staves. staffs? oh who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ knows.....

honestly i think it would be cool and they could have its abilites center around runes and either make it itself more defensive than the staves or offensive really depending on how they feel but since there is already destruction staves i feel defensive would be better espeically if its focus is on laying down runes. idk if its just me but i have a altmer who has the entire front bar made of jut rune spells and hes an enchanter so having a new weapon that centers around runes adding more variability and rp options for guys like me trying to make the enchanter type class other mmos have would be awesome, and it could have a badass animations with like running is you kinda do the assassins personality run while holding it closed in the fist that you let fall behind and than when you go to attack it floats into the air as you draw magic from it to your hand and than send if off and it would be cool if instead of like the staves either charged shots with ice and fire or lightning and restorarions beam into a final pulse of energy it could shoot off at most 5 shots but it has a longer charge time with you can let go early and shoot off only 3 shots but that still takes either as long or longer than stave charge attacks.

ok im at 55:55 rn but imma just say if they pulled either of the game dev classics with those bein saying theyll do it later and than 10 years later the keep repeating that mantra than f em or the "no it wont happen because of technical limitations" or "it doesnt fit with the creative direction" than f em.... i really hope thats not why you linked this XD

it has passed long time, eso started on Directx9, evolved a lot in graphics quality. Team was very enthusiastic full with ideas and hopes and they were speaking free for what they hope to achieve, now they barely speak to not disappoint someone...

Spellcrafting is just beautiful dream we still hope to become reality, who knows companions were also asked long time ago....

ok i decided to look into spellcrafting a bit more and it lead me down a rabbit hole to eventually watch the blackwood trailer and now i see the dremora race, spellbook, and heard mentions of how back in 2014 the spellcrafting system was basically all coded and just waiting release so my hopes are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ high rn there is nothing anyone but bethesda could do to drop them and all they would have to do to meet them even is just the spellbook thing with everything else would just be so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gravy that i think i may get the diabetiiiiss and die..............
