Graphics are pretty bad on PC, why?
Ive switched to PC ESO from playing on Xbox, played on both series x and s . The game looks so much worse on PC even compared to the series s version. Why is this? the textures especially look lower res, AA is bad and the image scaling of DLSS looks off too

I should add, Im running everything maxed on PC @1440p. on a 5800x CPU, 3080ti GPU. So its not a PC hardware issue

Old game. graphics showing their age now, only so much we can do with it. That said, IIRC, it's not worse than my XBox One X.

I am also playing in 2k with a 5900x and a 3080, so perhaps some config issue for you? I don't use DLSS as the game is not demanding enough to need it, but I do use DLAA with native 2k.

I just checked my settings, everything on, Supreme setting, DLAA, screen space GI. And it's definitely at least as good as my XB1X.

i played it years on xbox1x. Playing it on pc now it looks 100x times better than any console system. I think it's the best looking mmo on the market. I don't know what is wrong with some people's eyes lol so strange

playing on 12900K and 3090TI it looks fking amazing!

check
"subsampling quality" - should be maximum possible value (High?)
"FSR mode" - turn it off

Because companies build games for consoles and pc is an afterthought.
im pretty sure the graphics are tied to the fsr setting so try using that. also why do you care about graphics? i personally dont care if my game looks something like runescape aslong as the gameplay is good

The Elder Scrolls Online had been in development for seven years before its release in 2014. It is the first project for ZeniMax Online Studios, which was formed in 2007. Matt Firor, studio lead at ZeniMax Online, is the director of The Elder Scrolls Online. ZeniMax Online licensed the HeroEngine in November 2007.

Yeah, can't see a problem with that res as I run 5120x1440, so your ratio will be fine.

I didnt even notice DLAA :steamfacepalm:
Turned DLSS off and set it to DLAA instead and it looks so much better

Ah, good you got it sorted. But yeah, game just does not push a modern GPU so can run full native res no problem at all but still get the better AA from DLAA.

Old-ish game, but honestly the lighting is still pretty damn good compared to other MMOs
