The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Blackwood is the ultimate Elder Scrolls experience and includes the Base Game and all Chapters:

Blackwood (New for 2021)
Greymoor
Elsweyr
Summerset
Morrowind

but i can't seem to use the necromancer class?!

The necromancer class is sold seperatly in the crown store.

it's a confusing mess right now, i know in the past classes are included as part of the chapters. Did i buy the wrong blackwood dlc?

(bought this one) Buy The Elder Scrolls Online - Blackwood Upgrade

(but saw another here that says includes everything, but on the bottom of the store page it actually says blackwood collection includes all chapters so naturally i assumed blackwood upgrade was the complete pack since i already own the base game)

Buy The Elder Scrolls Online - Blackwood
Includes The Elder Scrolls Online base game, Blackwood, Greymoor, Elsweyr, Summerset, and Morrowind Chapters.

It seems you bought Upgrade version that includes only one DLC: Blackwood. There are 4 versions of Blackwood. You need pack of base game and all DLCs (see description).

Make refund for Upgrade and purchase normal version.
PS. That description is incorrect and it is very old problem. People buy incorrect version for years.

I do believe that around Summerset, the extra classes are removed from the new zones when they enter the Crown store as DLC, and only the latest Chapter's extra classes and skill lines will be available upon purchase.

The first details the separation of Warden from the Morrowind Chapter-turned DLC, and I believe it works the same for Elsweyr and the Necromancer class.

While you are looking into a refund, I suggest you clarify it with CS at the same time just to be sure. I think ESO+ doesn't unlock the classes either, but with the Crowns you get from the sub, you *could* use it to purchase the class if you wanted to.

It is confusing. I started with the base game + Morrowind. After awhile I purchased ESO+. Warden class was available at that point because I made one. Not positive, but believe Necromancer was too.

I am not 100% sure but I think no matter what bundle you buy the warden and necromancer class always sell separate and arent included in any pack.

When I bought Elsweyr pack back in 2019 as a preorder I got the necromancer class because in that time it wasnt sold apart in crown store.
And warden was also included but Ii think they did change it.

Did you acquire Morrowind before Summerset went live? That was when Warden was supposedly separated from the Morrowind Zone, so you might have kept that access to the Warden class by virtue of timing.

Of course, I don't have ESO+ so I could be wrong. I was basing it off that account upgrades like Imperial race aren't given by default with a sub (https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/guides/esoplusguide), hence I took it that the classes weren't included either.
Adrive Aug 13, 2021 @ 6:57am
ok, so it sounds like, maybe the classes will not be there, but what about the chapters? is buying blackwood upgrade actually giving me blackwood or is it including all the other previous chapters? is there any way to check without having to travel there? i was in the tutorial section just now in a room where i get to choose where i want to teleport to...i don't recall seeing any familar names summerset/elsweyr/morrowind. I only remember there was Blackwood and the rest are just some unknown names. I do remember there were two portals that were locked though.

i can't get back there since i entered blackwood so i can't be sure what i purchased is only limited to blackwood area

If you're in doubt, you can always check a couple of things:

Your map; the zones will show up but the wayshrine to travel to will say that you need to purchase so and so DLC.
Your collections (default key: U), where it shows you what DLC you own, among other things like houses and so on.

The (Blackwood) Upgrade / CE Upgrade basically adds the latest zone to your current ESO, whether it's base game only or all the way up to the previous Chapter.
The Collection / CE Collection will grant all the previously released Chapters, up to the latest one.

necromancer never was blackwoods content necro existed before it i dont rember wich one greymoor could be the one but yea necromancer was in game before blackwood so dont wonder you dont have it
Turtleswatter Aug 13, 2021 @ 7:07am
OK. If you buy the full Blackwood bundle, which includes all the old chapters you will get both the Necromancer and the Warden.

However, if you just buy the Blackwood upgrade you will only get Blackwood and no other content.

If you buy the old chapters any other way than in a bundle, for example, via the Crown Store then you will not get the necromancer or warden and will have to buy them separately as DLC.

The problem with ESO marketing is that they sell several different products which all have similar names so it can get confusing if you just skim it.

The No 1 rule when buying is to look at the description - there are no hidden extras and if it's not listed in the description - then you don't get it. Many people buy the upgrade by mistake and Steam is used to dealing with refunds in these circumstances.

they really shoulve' included this in steam store's blackwood page. obviously it misled me to buy the wrong blackwood

actually..what is steam's equivalent of Blackwood collection?

I think..number 3 in the store list?

3. Buy The Elder Scrolls Online - Blackwood
Includes The Elder Scrolls Online base game, Blackwood, Greymoor, Elsweyr, Summerset, and Morrowind Chapters.

why is there confusion for me? when i visit this page:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1400970/The_Elder_Scrolls_Online__Blackwood/

and scroll all the way down to product description:

ABOUT THIS GAME
The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Blackwood is the ultimate Elder Scrolls experience and includes the Base Game and all Chapters:

Blackwood (New for 2021)
Greymoor
Elsweyr
Summerset
Morrowind

It sounded like Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Blackwood means every blackwood dlcs listed on the store page.
