Fire Spells
Hiya! I'm just starting out in the game, and have been creating my usual lineup of characters, and I've become a bit confused on the best route to take for one usual character from what I've seen so far.

I'm basically looking for a pure fire mage. Nothing but fire spells. However, it looks to me like there are no fire spells in sorcery- but instead Dragonknight has all the fire spells, except for staves? But are there multiple spells associated with staves and fire? Or do they just launch fire attacks?

If fire is relegated to the Dragonknight, would I still be able to play a Dragonknight like a mage, and access other spells? Or would that be not possible or goofy? I don't need another warrior type, I have those characters set up.

Or, am I kind of out of luck with making a nothing-but-fire-spells mage? I've wandered through guides and videos so far, but I'm not getting a solid, straightforward answer.

Thanks!

If you choose Dragonknight you can use destruction and restoration staff skills. But you can't use Dark magic, daedric summoning and Storm calling.

Ok, I can follow that... but being new I'm not familiar with the types of spells in each line (at least, overall- I only have a vague idea). If I want that wizard-type character that uses nothing but fire, should I go Dragonknight or Sorcerer? Are there enough fire spells accessible through Sorcerer to be a valid build?

Sorcerer does Shock, Dragon does Fire.

I started a sorcerer just to see what's up... It looks like I can go full fire with just focusing on destruction staff spells, that way I'll ge tthe perks of being a sorcerer (gear, etc. will be a better fit). So far it's working ok, if not a bit funny that I don't have anything specced in any of the three sorcerer lines.

You can do whatever you want, really. The classes are just a skill tree, its up to you on how to use them. A lot of people will run Dragonknights as if they were sorceres. I run it as a DPS, that wears heavy armour, not common, but it can work out.

Ok! Thanks. I'm still trying to get the overall gist of the skills and options, but I am beginning to see how it's pretty flexible.
